Dem senator testifying AGAINST Sessions, but look what we discovered about him…

Senator Corey Booker will be making history today when he testifies against Senator Jeff Sessions appointment for attorney general, as being the first senator to testify against another sitting senator nominated for a Cabinet position.

Noting that he’s “breaking a pretty long Senate tradition,” he said Monday on MSNBC’s “All In”: “We’ve seen Jeff Sessions, that’s Senator Jeff Sessions, consistently voting against or speaking out against key ideals of the Voting Rights Act, taking measures to try to block criminal justice reform. He has a posture and a positioning that I think represent a real danger to our country.”

An interesting justification, especially in light of Booker singing Session’s praises a mere year ago. As The Blaze noted: Last year, Booker seemed to be quite a fan of Sessions, whom he said he was “blessed and honored” to work with on civil rights issues.

Speaking in the Capitol Building in February, Booker thanked his Republican colleague for his help in honoring the 1965 “Foot Soldiers” who marched from Selma to Montgomery, Alabama, to raise awareness about civil rights for black Americans.

“I am humbled to be able to to participate here in paying tribute to some of the extraordinary Americans, whose footsteps paved the way for me and my generation,” Booker said at the time. “I feel blessed and honored to have partnered with Sen. Sessions in being the Senate sponsors of this important award.”

What changed since then? One appointment by Trump.
