After three years of BLM activism, public opinion of cops has gone way…

If you think the activism of Black Lives Matter is counterproductive, you’d be right — almost.

Whether it’s constantly inciting violence against police officers, literally killing them, or blocking off highways, a rational person would realize that such tactics are going to turn everyone against their cause. The movement claims to be “anti-police brutality” rather than “anti-police,” but their actions clearly betray that. Of course, that’s to be expected from a group that lists convicted cop-killer Assata Shakur as their ideological inspiration.

However, based on the results of a new poll, Black Lives Matter has been a complete failure. The movement celebrated its third anniversary back in July, and since then, public perception of police has only improved. Dramatically.

As Gallup reported: Three in four Americans (76%) say they have “a great deal” of respect for the police in their area, up 12 percentage points from last year.

That’s the highest it’s been in recent history – only slightly below the high of 77 percent in 1968.

In addition to the large majority of Americans expressing “a great deal” of respect for their local police, 17% say they have “some” respect while 7% say they have “hardly any.”

Gallup has asked this question nine times since 1965. The percentage who say they respect the police is significantly higher now than in any measurement taken since the 1990s and is just one point below the high of 77% recorded in 1967. Solid majorities of Americans have said they respect their local law enforcement in all polls conducted since 1965.

The narrative of “racist-police” that BLM pushes hasn’t worked on non-whites either, as support for police is up across all demographics, on average.

Support of police has even surged with liberals, proving just how far-left BLM is.

I never thought I’d say this, but thank you Black Lives Matter. Your insanity is finally paying dividends.
