Whoa! Black Lives Matter says you aren’t welcome at meetings if…

One Black Lives Matter chapter is fighting to make sure their meetings are separate — but at the same time equal.

Black Lives Matter Philly is banning white people from an upcoming event, which they designated a “black only space.” Presumably the building it’s held in will contain a blacks only water fountain.

According to the Daily Caller:

The April 15 meeting plans to discuss projects and initiatives for the upcoming year and act as a  place for people to “meet, strategize and organize.” While children are invited to attend, white people are explicitly banned from the meeting, according to the Facebook event page.

When people began questioning the ban on whites over Twitter, Black Lives Matter Philly stayed by their ban, explaining that their meetings are “black centered.”

Anyone who identifies as “African disapora” is allowed to attend, the group explained over Twitter.

It’s worth pointing out that by that definition, Rachel Dolezal, who identified as part of the African Diaspora on CNN last week, would be allowed in BLM Philly’s meetings.

In response to input from Shakiura Soal, an activist with sanity who pointed out that Martin Luther King Jr. marched alongside whites, BLM Philly replied that “White people can support us but they cannot attend our meetings.”

Translation: you can support us, you just can’t know what you’re supporting. They then defended their position further by pointing out that Malcolm X took the same stance they did, which is interesting, since there’s no chance they’re unaware that Malcolm X was a black separatist.

There were, of course, a handful of useful idiots who thought this was all brilliant.

It’s fascinating that those claiming to be fighting racism think that blacks and whites are so different that there some certain issues only one race is capable of discussing and fixing.

It’s cliché to point out at this point, but if the roles were reversed, it would be crystal clear who the racists were. Among the many other differences between MLK and BLM is that the former didn’t fight racism with more racism.
