Bill goes OFF!

Hillary Clinton has advertised her presidency as a continuation of the legacy of Barack Obama. You’d think that would be enough to convince anyone to vote against her in November, but it’s managed to rally the support of the Democrat establishment.

What legacy exactly does she want to continue? The legacy of presiding over one of the worst economic recoveries since the 1950s? Historic declines in median household income and rising poverty? Skyrocketing Federal debt and soaring food stamp usage? Unprecedented declines in workforce participation? Or perhaps she wants to continue the legacy of his signature piece of legislation: Obamacare. A legacy that even Bill Clinton thinks is crazy.

At a campaign rally in Flint, Michigan, former President Bill Clinton tore into Obamacare, calling it the “craziest thing in the world.” While slamming Obama’s signature domestic achievement, Clinton said that the simplest way to fix our health care system and offer affordable insurance without the double-digit premium hikes is to find a rate where people can buy into Medicare and Medicaid. It may have garnered some applause, but Hillary wants to maintain Obamacare, while adding adjustments of her own.

“You’ve got this crazy system where all the sudden 25 million more people have healthcare and then the people are out there busting it, sometimes 60 hours a week, wind up with their premiums doubled and their coverage cut in half,” Clinton said.

“It’s the craziest thing in the world,” he said.

He’s not the only one sounding the alarm. On Sunday, the New York Times ran a piece headlines “Ailing Obama Health Care Act May Have to Change to Survive,” highlighting that the law has failed miserably when it comes to containing health care costs. Even those who didn’t see a rise in premiums certainly saw a rise in their deductibles – that is, what they have to pay before they can even use the insurance they’re paying for.

This comes a day after the Washington Free Beacon released audio of Hillary telling private donors that Obamacare “needs fixing.”

She may vow to continue the Obama legacy – but even she knows better.
