As Bill Clinton addresses DNC, look who was just charged with DOMESTIC ABUSE

As the Democrat National Convention today touts its themes of “fighting for women and children” — with highlights including an address by none other than woman-loving former President Bill Clinton — comes this news about a high-profile Democrat who’s just been charged with abuse of his wife.

It’s needless to say that far-left Florida Congressman Alan Grayson has a bit of a temper.

He’s compared Republicans to “dog poop” on the House floor. He’s claimed the Republican’s health care plan is “don’t get sick, and if you do, die slowly.” He’s compared the Tea Party to the KKK.

He can’t even seem to get along with the hosts over at MSNBC, who share his ideological bias.

Back in 2010, he ran an ad comparing his opponent Dan Webster to the Taliban, calling him “Taliban Dan Webster,” in which he played an out of context clip where Webster appears to say that “woman should submit [to their husbands]” four times throughout the ad. What Webster actually said was cautioning against the mentality, in context stating, “‘Don’t pick the ones [Bible verses] that say, ‘She should submit to me.'”

In other words, the exact opposite of what Grayson was suggesting. Even MSNBC had to call him out on that one.  The full clip was played out in front of him live on TV and he still lied through his teeth.

Heck, this guy is so reprehensible that even Harry Reid told the guy that he hopes he doesn’t get re-elected.

So when news broke that Alan Grayson is now at the center of a domestic abuse scandal, the only surprise was how this didn’t happen sooner.

The Washington Examiner reports:

Two major liberal organizations have withdrawn their endorsement of Rep. Alan Grayson in his bid for Florida’s Democratic Senate primary amid allegations of spousal abuse.

Grayson’s ex-wife recently went public with documents supporting her claims, including old police reports.

“After today’s revelations of years of police reports about allegations of domestic abuse involving Alan Grayson, we are no longer willing to support and are formally withdrawing our endorsement of him in the race for U.S. Senate,” Democracy for America and the Progressive Change Campaign Committee stated on Tuesday.

“Unfortunately, this deeply disappointing revelation means progressives have no great options in the Florida race for Senate,” leaders of the two organizations stated. They said Grayson’s campaign should forward all donations from the groups to an Orlando, Fla., domestic abuse victims group.

President Obama and Joe Biden are backing Grayson’s opponent, which is the only time I’ll agree with their endorsements.

Almost worse than the abuse itself is his handling of the issue. How did he decide to handle it? Denial? Acting apologetic? Silence?

A bit of denial — mixed with violence. The Washington Post reported that: At an event hosted by Politico in Philadelphia, site of the Democratic National Convention, Grayson on Tuesday got in the face of — and made contact with — Edward-Isaac Dovere, a reporter for Politico, which earlier in the day published claims of abuse by the congressman’s ex-wife.

I’m not sure how he thought that stunt would lead anyone to take his side, but I look forward to his way out the door for good.
