Would you believe there are still people who think they can somehow stop Donald Trump in the electoral college?
Despite the attempts of thousands of activists nationwide who pressured their electors, more ended up defecting from Hillary Clinton than The Donald when electors convened December 19th. Still, on the House floor yesterday, Rep. Pramila Jayapal (D-Washington), who was sworn in this week, attempted to file an objection to invalidate the sixteen electoral votes from Georgia that went to Trump, citing long lines outside of voting centers on Election Day (as if that would have any effect on anything).
As The Federalist reported: “Jayapal conceded that her objection had not been signed by a senator, a requirement for the objection to move forward. The Democratic congresswoman was one of a handful of legislators who protested votes cast for the president-elect during a joint-session of Congress certifying the Electoral College results, ACJ.com reports.”
Joe Biden wasn’t having any of it.
“There’s no debate. No debate.”
“It is over.”
Since when has Joe Biden been the voice of reason? The times really are changing….[Note: This post was authored by Matt Palumbo. Follow him on Twitter @MattPalumbo12]
