With just days left in the race for the White House, Glenn Beck made a prediction yesterday we never thought we’d hear from him: that the race is over — and Donald Trump has won. It was surprising to hear from a man who’s been perhaps the most prominent member of the “Never Trump” crowd this election, himself supporting independent conservative Evan McMullin for president. Beck now predicts a five-point victory for Trump in the popular vote next Tuesday.
And if you look at the latest USC Dornsife/LA Times presidential election “Daybreak” poll, it would appear Beck may not be too far off the mark.
Trump’s support has jumped four points since last week, while Clinton has fallen three points, a seven point net gain.
Here’s the trend over time:
Talk about a November surprise. When you average all the major polls together, momentum is quickly shifting in Trump’s favor.
As the clock counts down, and the polls narrow, 91 percent of last-minute bets on the election have been for a Trump victory. While the polls have historically favored Hillary, people aren’t voting for her a month ago; they’re voting for her in six days.
