Proving that all First Children are truly “off limits,” Saturday Night Live writer Katie Rich has been “indefinitely” suspended from the show pending her shocking attack on 10-year-old Barron Trump.
In the now-deleted tweet, Rich said, “Barron will be this country’s first homeschool shooter.”
After a social media tsunami, Ms. Rich apologized today, saying:
I sincerely apologize for the insensitive tweet. I deeply regret my actions & offensive words. It was inexcusable & I'm so sorry.

Refreshingly, Chelsea Clinton defended young Barron:
Barron Trump deserves the chance every child does-to be a kid. Standing up for every kid also means opposing @POTUS policies that hurt kids.— Chelsea Clinton (@ChelseaClinton) January 22, 2017
And, so did Monica Lewinsky:

Despite being only a “suspension” and not the outright firing a number of online petitions called for, it’s a good first step toward reminding Hollywood that kids – Barron, Bristol, Chelsea, Malia, and Sasha – are all off limits!
