As promised President Donald J. Trump has just signed an executive order on day one, targeting Obamacare.
There are no specifics yet as to the exact provisions addressed by the order. But, as Yahoo reported:
President Trump signed his first executive order in the Oval Office late Friday, targeting Obamacare, as his administration ordered an immediate freeze on new regulations just hours after his inauguration.
The piece went on to say:
It was not immediately clear what the executive order would do to pave the way for Republicans to make good on their longstanding promise to repeal and replace Barack Obama’s signature domestic achievement. White House press secretary Sean Spicer told reporters the order would “ease the burden” of the law. He did not share further details.
Other actions on this historic day include the confirmations of General James Mattis as Secretary of Defense, and John F. Kelly as Secretary of Homeland Security, and their subsequent swearing in by newly minted Vice-President, Mike Pence.
