Yes, it’s happening! President shuts borders, closes mosques, except…

In the most unbelievable reversing of roles imaginable, the responses of America and France to recent domestic acts of terrorism must have Patton, MacArther and Schwarzkopf doing back handsprings in their graves.

In recent weeks, two major industrialized nations, the United States and France, have seen the blood of citizens running in the streets at the hands of Muslim terrorists. A comparison of leadership’s response to both the attacks and ongoing threat posed by radicalized Muslims in their midst draws a clear picture of just how passive, inept, overly-sympathetic and seemingly unconcerned with fulfilling its responsibility to protect citizens one administration is; and how bound and determined to find the threats, snuff them out and prevent such a mass killing from again happening within its borders the other is.

Guess which is which?

In response to the December 2nd mass-shooting in San Bernardino in which Syed Farook and his wife Tashfeen Malik shot fourteen U.S. citizens to death and wounded two dozen others Americans got:

• A lecture from President Obama four days later in which he called for Americans to be more tolerant and accepting of Muslims in our nation and a(nother) call for more stringent gun control laws — action he’s now poised to take through executive order, as usual, and do a(nother) end-around on the American people’s elected representatives in Congress.

• A lecture from Attorney General Loretta Lynch in which she didn’t say a word about prosecuting those who kill and maim American citizens but rather a vow that her Department of Justice would prosecute Americans caught using “anti-Muslim rhetoric.”

Compare this to the government of France’s response to the November 13th attack in Paris in which 129 Parisians were shot to death. French President Francoise Hollande immediately declared a state of emergency and ordered all of France’s borders closed. But the French government hasn’t stopped there.

In the weeks since the attack, police in Paris have steadily been conducting a systemic wave of raids aimed and breaking down the Islamic extremist threat in their city including entering the city’s “no-go zones” – neighborhoods in Paris inhabited almost exclusively by Muslims that are largely off-limits to non-Muslims.

Some 2,235 homes and buildings have been raided, 232 people taken into custody, and 334 weapons confiscated. France’s Interior Minister Bernard Cazeneuve has said that security officials found jihadist documents in mosques, have placed nine people under arrest, another 22 have been banned from leaving the country while under investigation.

Cazeneuve said the number of weapons apprehended so far is staggering. He said, “In 15 days we have seized one-third of the quantity of war-grade weapons that are normally seized in a year.”

According to reports on Al Jazeera, France is likely to close up to 160 mosques in the coming months as part of its nationwide police operation under the state of emergency which allows places of worship that promote radical views to be shut down. Three mosques have already been closed since the attacks. Hassan El Alaoui, who is in charge of nominating regional and local Muslim imams told Al Jazeera last week that more mosques were set to be shut down, “According to official figures and our discussions with the interior ministry, between 100 and 160 more mosques will be closed because they are run illegally without proper licenses, they preach hatred, or use takfiri speech,” he said.

Takfiris are classified as Muslims who accuse others of the same faith of apostasy, an act which has become a sectarian slur. The mosque closures, he added, were made under “a legal act that the authorities have” and must have happened because “of some illegal things that they found.”

One of General George S. Patton’s most famous quotes is that, “A good plan violently executed right now is far better than a perfect plan executed next week.”

France is violently executing a good plan by stepping up its war against ISIS in the Middle East and doing everything possible to root out the threats in its largest city. And America? Well, if lectures are as good as a good plan we ought to be the safest nation on Earth.
