“We have met the enemy and he is us.” The oft-used quote to describe the self-destructing nature of organizations has taken on an eerily close-to-home feel given the latest revelations in the Reality Winner treason case.
Winner of course is the 25-year old federal contractor from Georgia who has been charged with leaking classified government information from the NSA to the press. Winner has been indicted by a federal grand jury on one count, but prosecutors say they are likely to add more.
She’s a far-left anti-Trump activist who has called the president an “orange fascist” and a “piece of s**t.” She used the hashtags “Resist” and “NeverMyPresident” on her Facebook page and, as the Daily Caller notes, “appears to be a supporter of Bernie Sanders and other progressive icons, such as Bill Maher and Michael Moore.”
Winner also once tweeted to rapper Kanye West to suggest he make a T-shirt saying “Being white is terrorism.” Which is where things take an interesting turn. Winner is herself white, meaning she views herself as a terrorist? Maybe so. While it was previously known Winner is ardently anti-Trump it’s now coming out that she is also quite anti-American.
WSB TV2 of Atlanta is reporting on the latest revelations from her court proceedings and its beginning to become quite obvious that our government had an enemy working in its midst, hiding in plain sight. Prosecutors in that case revealed in court that Winner, a former Air Force linguist who speaks Arabic and Farsi, wanted “to burn the White House Down…find somewhere in Kurdistan to live” and to travel to Afghanistan and pledge her allegiance to the Taliban.
“Prosecutors argued that the only thing Winner could do if she were released on bail is be recruited by the nation’s enemies.
Based on evidence seized from her home, federal prosecutors detailed Winner’s alleged plans to burn down the White House and travel to Afghanistan, pledging her allegiance to the Taliban.
…Prosecutors also said while Winner was serving in the Air Force she put a removable thumb drive into a top-secret computer. The government testified that it has no idea where that drive is now.”
Talk about the enemy among us. While sane people wonder what goes on inside the head of a blonde, 25-year old girl that makes her think life in Afghanistan under the Taliban would be better than her life in Savannah, Georgia, the fact that America is filled with America-hating liberals is no big surprise. But here we have someone with a top-secret clearance working for a president she “resists” and for a government and country she despises.
With “friends” like this, who needs enemies?
