That American colleges and universities have become bastions of liberalism where no other ideas, thoughts, or views are tolerated comes as news to no one. Everyone saw the riots preventing conservative speaker Milo Yiannopoulos from being heard. A week later, author Charles Murray was assaulted and run off a college campus. Last week, a Christian student was suspended from his school after he challenged a Muslim professor’s claim that Jesus wasn’t crucified.
Sadly, these occurrences are now commonplace. But what one university professor just tweeted is coming close to setting a new low for the close-minded academic crowd.
Fox29 of Philadelphia is reporting that Drexel University Professor George Ciccariello-Maher, upon seeing a fellow passenger on an airliner give up their first-class seat for a uniformed member of our armed forces, tweeted that the sight made him want to “vomit“:
“A Pennsylvania college professor took to Twitter to express that he wanted to “vomit” after an airline passenger gave up their first-class seat for a uniformed member of the armed forces.
Drexel University Professor George Ciccariello-Maher, who was criticized last Christmas for saying the only gift he wanted was “white genocide”, said he wanted to “yell about Mosul” when he saw the act of kindness on the plane.
“Some guy gave up his first-class seat for a uniformed soldier. People are thanking him,” Ciccariello-Maher tweeted, “I’m trying not to vomit or yell about Mosul.”
Though not known for certain, there are two things here that probably can be assumed: 1) This Ciccariello-Maher character has never worn the uniform of a United States serviceman, never slept in a hole, cot, or crawlspace beneath a Humvee, and, 2) Ciccariello-Maher had a front and center view of his fellow passenger’s act of kindness most likely because he was in a first-class seat himself, because professors at America’s universities are very well compensated. That’s why the cost of a college education is what it is. They rail away on income inequality and the need for ‘social justice’ — but they themselves rake in six digits and can afford to fly first class. This isn’t the professor’s first brush with controversy. Clearly in the holiday spirit (spirits?), he tweeted:

Interesting that Ciccariello-Maher would call for “white genocide.” He’s white. If people like this truly believed that one of the problems in the world is that there are just too many white people in it, they could take the obvious path to doing something about it. But they don’t.
After the disgusting comment, and dissing of our armed service members, Ciccariello-Maher then managed to take an even lower road and blame the whole thing on “right-wing media.” When in doubt, blame conservatives. In a statement included in the Fox29 piece Ciccariello-Maher wrote:
“…I sent a personal tweet in reaction to what I considered a smug and self-congratulatory gesture by a first-class passenger toward a uniformed soldier. Maybe predictably, my tweet has since been fed into and misrepresented by the outrage machine that is right-wing media”
Imagine that. This guy calling someone else ‘smug.’ And for what? For sacrificing the comfort of their first-class seat. He continued:
“The best way to support troops is not with symbolic gestures and first-class seats, but by bringing them home safely,…”
How many people flying aboard commercial aircraft have that ability?
This is about as blatant an example of military-hate as can be found. Its also a prime example of “higher education” in America today. Ciccariello-Maher, by the way, is an Associate Professor of Politics and Global Studies. Gee, wonder how fair and balanced a presentation of ideas his students get?
