Seriously? THIS is Kerry’s rationale for the Iran deal

Did America and the world get “swift boated” by the deal John Kerry negotiated with Iran? If the reactions of other world leaders, American congressmen, and just about everyone else with half a brain is any indication, the answer is yes.

While Americans, Israelis, Saudis and Egyptians were reaching for a barf bag, Iranians were dancing in the streets and flashing the V for victory sign. Not only were they in a state of euphoria about the over-the-counter deal, I guess they loved the secret under-the-table deal too.

It’s truly a mystery how President Obama and John Kerry could think what they were doing was a good thing. But thanks to a glimpse into a private meeting ,which occurred right after the deal was done, we now know the whiney, wimpy rationale Kerry has for what he’s done to all of us.

According to the New York Post, in the final session of the negotiations, according to State undersecretary Wendy Sherman, the ministers spoke of what the pact meant to them.

Sherman found it moving, particularly when Kerry spoke about Vietnam. “When I was 22, I went to war,” Kerry said, before choking up. “He couldn’t get the words out,” Sherman said. “And everybody was completely spellbound.”

“I went to war,” Kerry finally continued, “and it became clear to me that I never wanted to go to war again. That’s what this was all about. Trying to settle these matters through diplomacy and peaceful means.”

Sherman called it “such a moving moment that everybody in that small room applauded — including the Iranian delegation.”

I’ll bet they did. And while they were applauding the complete capitulation into which they were able to manipulate John Kerry, Congress would soon be calling attention to the fact that we got had.

As Committee Chairman Senator Bob Corker, R-Tenn, said,
“From my perspective, Mr. Secretary, I’m sorry … I believe you’ve been fleeced,”, claiming the agreement paves the path for Iran to eventually develop a nuclear bomb.

Sen. James Risch, R-Idaho, said: “You guys have been bamboozled.”

So it appears that John Kerry, the Vietnam vet who spent four months in Vietnam and then became somewhat of a full-time activist against the very government which he now claims to represent, blamed his experiences in Vietnam for his inexplicable actions.

Never wanting to see war again, he threw in the towel, allowed Iran to walk away with billions in unfrozen assets, a seeming pathway to a nuclear weapon in ten years if they play nice with the world today, and an apparent way to hide their real activity by avoiding inspection of their “military” facilities. Returning from Europe Kerry proclaims “peace for our time” like a certain British Prime Minister did in 1938 after trying to chum up with Hitler. We all know how that turned out.

I think all Kerry managed to do was condemn future generations of America’s fighting men and women to another war-a much worse war because the bully of the Middle East will have had ten years and billions of dollars to arm itself to the hilt.

I wonder if Kerry will take a copy of his agreement and throw it over the fence at the White House when his “deal” blows up?
