Today, it’s been three days — 72 hours — since a Muslim terrorist attacked military personnel in Chattanooga, Tennessee. It’s been six years since our military personnel were attacked at Ft. Hood, Texas and in Little Rock, Arkansas.
On Monday morning, our military personnel will report for duty again — with no firearms, no stun guns, no mace, not even a water pistol.
President Obama could change the regulations preventing them from being armed IMMEDIATELY, but instead has chosen to provide firearms to all of these folks:
1.) Mexican drug lords. Ah, that fabulous fiasco dubbed “Fast and Furious.” You know, the gun running scheme where 2,000 guns were passed out and ended up in the hands of Mexican drug lords. As WND reported:
Fast and Furious was a DOJ and ATF “gun-running” sting operation in which the Obama administration allowed guns to be sold to illegal straw buyers so they could be tracked to Mexican cartel dealers. But only about one-third of the 2,000 weapons monitored were recovered, and no high-level cartel figures were arrested.2.) al-Qaeda. Then, last year, as reported in RT, the Obama administration may have been supplying arms to al-Qaeda linked terrorists.
A commission, set up last year by US center-right press watchdog Accuracy in Media (AIM), was comprised of retired senior military officers and CIA insiders and experts was focused on getting straight answers to the remaining questions about the September 11, 2012 attack on the diplomatic compound in Benghazi that killed four Americans, including Ambassador Christopher Stevens.Following a seven-month review of the bloody incident, the Commission blamed the Obama administration for failing to prevent a multi-million dollar United Arab Emirates weapons shipment from getting into hands of al-Qaeda-linked militants.
3.) Syrian rebels (and ISIS). In June of 2013, BBC News wrote an expose’ concerning the U.S. supplying arms to Syrian rebels:
Washington said it would give the rebels “direct military aid” after concluding Syrian troops had used chemical weapons. The CIA is reported to have played an important role behind the scenes since 2012, co-ordinating arms shipments to the rebels by US allies.
In June 2012, US officials said CIA officers were operating in Turkey, helping decide which groups would receive weapons.
The CIA is also reported to have been instrumental in setting up the alleged secret airlift of weapons from Croatia.”
As we’ve reported previously, some of these Syrian rebels apparently turned out to be ISIS affiliates or even ISIS fighters themselves.
4.) Iran. And, in what may be the biggest arms lottery win ever, Iran has been given the green light for a nuclear weapon as long as they play nice with others and wait ten years.
In a recent post by the ACLJ it’s noted that in 10 years Iran’s restrictions will be gone and then they are free to attack Big Satan and Little Satan with a nuke.
The centerpiece of the deal is supposed to ensure that Iran cannot publicly or covertly develop a nuclear weapon. The White House says the deal will block all four pathways Iran has to achieve a nuclear weapon.
But the devil is in the details. And these details are extremely troubling. Not only does it lift sanctions on scores of known Iranians who are hostile to the United States, but it also phases out all restrictions on the Iranian nuclear program over the next 10 years. So even if Iran fully complies with the deal, it can – and likely will – still achieve a nuclear weapon.
In the shorter term, as NPR reports, Iran will be able to start stockpiling conventional weapons:
As part of the nuclear deal, a United Nations arms embargo on Iran, which was imposed in 2007 in response to the country’s nuclear program, will be lifted in five years for most weapons, and in eight years for ballistic missiles.
5.) 59 countries! In August of 2014, Business Insider published a chart recording all the countries importing weapons from the United States, all 59 of them. This list appears to include direct sales from the United States government and sales authorized by the State Department. That’s practically every country in the world.
Where am I going with all of this? President Obama is directly or indirectly supplying weapons to all of these groups: Mexican drug lords, al-Qaeda, Syrian rebels (and ISIS) and 59 countries. And that’s just what we know.
Who ISN’T Obama allowing to have weapons? Our so-called armed forces — the Marines, Army, Navy, and Air Force recruiters and other U.S. military personnel. Pretty messed up, don’t you think?
