If you’re a Democrat who voted for President Obama, and you’re having buyer’s remorse, you’re not alone. Even the guy who brought us that infamous Obama hope and change poster ain’t feelin’ it either.
Politico reports that “Shepard Fairey, the street artist behind the famous “Hope” poster that went viral during Barack Obama’s historic 2008 presidential run, said that the president has not lived up to his expectations. In an interview with Esquire, Fairey acknowledged that “Obama has had a really tough time” but said he’s “not even close” to having lived up to the “Hope” poster created for him.”
During the interview with Esquire, Fairey did a little tap dance and tried to temper his disappointment with Obama by saying that he’s met the president a few times and he is a “quality human being,” adding that his presidential record has been largely dictated by things out of his control.
Think about it! Every president is hit with things out of his control! It’s what a president does when “stuff” happens that reveals his leadership abilities, his character, his dedication to our country and Constitution, and his ability to adjust his college education to the realities of life. In almost every instance of “stuff” happening, President Obama has demonstrated that he lacks leadership ability. He adheres to his far left liberal policies even though they haven’t served him or the country well, to say the least, and in some cases (well, most?) have created a real hot mess.
Sadly, it appears even Mr. Fairey can’t adjust his thinking either. Still believing Obama’s failures are the fault of anything but his policies Mr. Fairey said, “We also need a public that isn’t so uneducated and complacent. I hate to say Americans are ignorant and lazy, but a lot of them are ignorant and lazy,” he added. “But what frustrates me to no end are people who want to blame Obama or blame anything that is something that if they were actually doing anything as simple as voting, it might not be as bad as it is.” So he thinks more ignorant and lazy Americans should have gone to the polls to vote for Obama? When asked whom he will back in 2016, Fairey said he agrees with Hillary Clinton on most major issues. So even though he’s found President Obama lacking in courage and not able to live up to his expectations, he probably intends to support someone who is just the same song, verse two. That’s liberal logic for you!
