After Ivy League professor calls him a RACIAL slur; Ben Carson responds with…

A University of Pennsylvania professor may have scraped the bottom of the barrel and come up with the most nasty, tasteless comment of the 2016 political election cycle.

Anthea Butler, a University of Pennsylvania religious-studies professor and a frequent MSNBC guest, has demonstrated, AGAIN, the complete and utter hypocrisy of liberal leftist activists with her recent tweet of in which she referred to presidential candidate Dr. Ben Carson as a “coon.”

What was SO egregious Butler felt compelled to label another black American a “coon”?  Pretty simple, Dr. Carson was standing up for American’s Constitutional rights.

Via Breitbart:

Dr. Ben Carson deserves a ‘coon of the year’ award,’ says a tweet from Anthea Butler, a University of Pennsylvania religious-studies professor and a frequent MSNBC guest.

Butler’s revealing invective was in response to a tweet from Daily Beast editor-at-large Goldie Taylor. That tweet highlighted a Sports Illustrated article in which Carson championed Americans’ right to fly flags — including the Confederate flag — that other Americans see as a symbol of hate.

Bulter, whose Twitter account is locked, apparently deleted the tweet attacking Dr. Carson. But not before someone captured a screen grab of it:

Anthea-Butler

The Urban Dictionary website defines “coon” as a “Insulting term for a black person. The site treats the insult as similar to other words that are rarely published outside rap lyrics.

Prof. Justin McDaniel, chairman of the University of Pennsylvania’s religious-studies program, did not repond to Butler’s tweet but said she is a “valued colleague and faculty member.”

As for Dr. Carson, his spokeswoman, Deana Bass, told the Washington Examiner that Butler’s tweet “does not merit a response.”

We’re not too shocked at the revolting, hypocritical comments by Professor Butler. We’ve even written about her outrageous commentary before. I’m not shocked at yet another pathetic display of liberal hypocrisy that allows Butler to refer to Dr. Carson as a “coon” — and nonetheless have the University of Pennsylvania department chairman praise her as a “valued colleague.” Meanwhile, had the same comment been directed at President Obama or any black on the left, the outrage would have been deafening and no doubt someone would’ve lost their job before all was said and done. (No word from MSNBC on discontinuing its relationship with her in light of the slur.)  I’m not even shocked that comedian Seth Meyers COINCIDENTLY just made a joke about Dr. Carson having “raccoon” hands.

(In true liberal fashion, liberals show how skilled they are at singing from the same song sheet, no matter how despicable.)

Perhaps what is most unusual about this situation is not that someone viciously attacked a candidate, but that this racial slur did not spawn a firestorm of controversy. Have we heard a peep from Al Sharpton, for example, condemning this comment from his fellow MSNBCer? But can you imagine what the reaction would have been had this same slur been targeted to President Obama or another Democrat candidate?

Even the candidate himself chose to ignore it and move on — speaking volumes, without saying a word, about how meaningful Ms. Butler’s comment is to him. And demonstrating again that Dr. Carson is not out to win over voters by playing the left’s victim tactics; he’s taking a stand on substantive issues and letting voters make their choice.

What this demonstrates, once again, is the liberal left cannot and will not debate the issues with conservative black candidates.  So, they resort to what they do best: name calling, throwing mud and creating slogans for imaginary problems. And whereas blacks and women, for example, typically warrant special treatment from the left, when they’re conservative, the gloves come off and the attacks get ESPECIALLY nasty.

If there was a “most liberal hypocrite professor of the year award” I would definitely nominate Ms. Butler — even if she would have stiff competition given the category.
