Is there a liberal media? You bet.
We could point you to studies proving the overwhelming majority of news networks lean left, or the polls showing the majority of journalists are leftists, but you’ve likely seen liberal media bias in action yourself. It’s been on full display this election, with the media giving Donald Trump billions of dollars worth of free – but negative – publicity, and serving as Hillary Clinton’s damage control. CNN has regained a nickname it rightly earned in the 1990s: the “Clinton News Network” — and has even gone so far as to openly admit they’re doing all they can to help her.
And, not to be outdone, we’re seeing similar behavior from other networks; just today, we shared with you CBS’s (aka Clinton Broadcasting Service) latest Clinton coverup.
Things have gotten so bad that even the president is complaining about media bias — just not the kind observant Americans have noticed.
A visibly irritated President Barack Obama ripped into Donald Trump and the media’s coverage of his campaign on Tuesday, telling an audience at a campaign rally for Hillary Clinton that presidents should not be graded on a curve when it comes to their transparency and fitness for office.“This is serious business. And when we see folks talking about transparency — you want to debate transparency? You’ve got one candidate in this debate who’s released decades worth of her tax returns. The other candidate is the first in decades who refuses to release any at all,” Obama vented. “You want to debate foundations and charities? One candidate’s family foundation has saved countless lives around the world. The other candidate’s foundation took money other people gave to his charity and then bought a six-foot-tall painting of himself.”
“You want to debate who’s more fit to be our president? One candidate who’s traveled to more countries than any secretary of state ever has, has more qualifications than pretty much anyone who’s ever run for this job and the other who isn’t fit in any way, shape, or form to represent this country abroad and be its commander-in-chief,” Obama said. “So somehow as things go on because we’ve become so partisan, our standards for what’s normal have changed. And Donald Trump says stuff everyday that used to be considered as disqualifying for being president. And yet because he says it over and over and over again the press just gives up and they just say, well, yeah, OK.”
Is he kidding me? We’re still hearing the media whine about Trump’s statements that he made in the speech he gave declaring his campaign — more than a year ago.
“But they just accept it,” the president said of the media. “So the bottom line is, is that we can not afford suddenly to treat this like a reality show. We can’t afford to act as if there’s some equivalence here. To be president, you have to do your homework and you have to know what you’re talking about and you’ve got to apply steady judgment even when things don’t go your way and you’ve got to make the tough calls even when they’re not popular.
Unless the president is only watching Fox News (which I’ll give a zero percent probability), what world is he living in? How many lies has Hillary gotten away with in regards to her use of a private email server?
Barack Obama isn’t mad that the media isn’t letting Trump get away with anything, he’s mad that they’re not more even more blatantly biased against him.
