Our government couldn’t possibly be any more bloated, unless we decide to take a few pages out of Sweden’s book (which Bernie thinks is a great idea).
Our country was once a manufacturing powerhouse – but now government workers outnumber manufacturing workers by a ratio of 1.8 to 1. The gap keeps widening, and it’s certainly a depressing trend.
Trump has been facing charges of being a RINO from his most conservative critics – but worry not – the government is going to get a lot smaller under Trump whether he likes it or not.
As the Washington Examiner reports:
Up to a quarter of federal officials would at least consider leaving their jobs if Donald Trump were elected president, according to a poll from Government Executive magazine. The poll, released last week, said 14 percent of respondents said they would leave the federal government, and 11 percent said “maybe.” Two-thirds of respondents said they don’t know, and 8 percent said they were unsure.
Most of the Trump angst comes from the Democratic side. When only Democrats were asked, 26 percent said they’d leave the government with Trump in the White House, and 16 percent would think about it, meaning 42 percent of all Democrats could at least consider the move.As for the most popular candidate among Federal workers: would you believe that he’s a socialist?
