Student who threatened to “kill any black person” just got JUDGEMENT

When yet another race hoax is exposed, it’s hard not to believe there are some people who desperately want there to be racism.

There was no shortage of such hoaxes in 2015, especially on college campuses. There were reports of members of the KKK at Mizzou – only for that to have turned out to be completely made up. Black students at Montclair State University vandalized the doors of black and female students – reported the crime – then were promptly arrested and charged when it was discovered they themselves committed the crime.

You’d think these people would wise up by now and realize the truth always comes to light. And who do they think they’re helping? People are less likely to take real claims of racism seriously thanks to hoaxers like this.

The consequences for these kinds of hoaxes are worsening, and what just happened to one young activist should serve as a deterrent to future hoaxes. Via WCBM:

A recent black Kean University graduate faces up to 90 days in jail and $82,000 in restitution for creating a false public alarm by using a fake Twitter account to threaten black students.

Kayla McKelvey, 25, pleaded guilty to the charge Monday in a Union County court after a judge previously rejected a plea deal that would have allowed her to avoid jail time and eventually erase the charge from her record, NJ.com reports.

The new arrangement comes with a recommended 90-day jail sentence and an $82,000 bill to cover the increased campus security and investigation into several messages posted to Twitter on Nov. 17, 2015 that threatened to kill black students on campus.

McKelvey, a “self-proclaimed activist,” was participating in a race rally when she left the event and went to the university library, where she created an anonymous Twitter account to send messages like [email protected] I will kill all the blacks tonight, tomorrow and any other day they go to Kean University,” prosecutors said.

McKelvey returned to the protest after posting those messages to “warn students” – which led to the school being put on high alert.

I don’t know how much student loan debt she’s racked up, but after this, I don’t think even a $15 minimum wage is going to make much of a dent.
