Pence responds to Hamilton slam with five word TRUTH BOMB

It was two nights ago that Mike Pence was lectured by the cast of Hamilton at the end of the play. We have a message for you sir and we hope you will hear us out…Vice President-elect Pence we welcome you and we truly thank you for joining us at Hamilton an American musical, we really do. We, sir, we are the diverse America who are alarmed and anxious that your new administration will not protect us, our planet, our children, our parents, or defend us and uphold our inalienable rights, sir. But we truly hope that this show has inspired you to uphold our American values and to work on behalf all of us. All of us” actor Brandon Dixon said to a round of applause.

Donald Trump demanded they apologize, and the hashtag #BotcottHamilton became the number one trending hashtag on Twitter, but Pence had a different take.

While Trump (sarcastically, it would seem) tweeted out that theaters should be a “safe space,” Pence wasn’t one to be triggered.

As The Hill reported: Vice President-elect Mike Pence said Sunday he “wasn’t offended” after the cast of the Broadway hit “Hamilton” called for the Indiana governor to uphold the country’s values in a personal message after a show.

“I know this is a very disappointing time for people that did not see their candidate win in this national election. I know that this is a very anxious time for some people,” Pence said on “Fox News Sunday.”

“And I just want to reassure people that what President-elect Donald Trump said on election night he absolutely meant from the bottom of his heart — he is preparing to be the president of all of the people of the United States of America.”

In response to Trump’s demand for an apology, Pence said he’ll leave it up to others to determine whether that was the “appropriate venue for that,” and then offered praise for the show. “Hamilton is just an incredible production and incredibly talented people. It was a real joy to be there,” Pence said.

But then the ever-gracious vice president-elect dropped a five-word truth bomb.

Pence noted when he arrived at the show, he heard a few boos and some cheers. “And I nudged my kids and reminded them, that’s what freedom sounds like,” Pence said.

Amen.
