After Hillary Clinton clinched the nomination last night she got a quick little makeover from CNN.
CNN used some very noticeable video editing to transfigure Hillary Clinton on Wednesday’s New Day. Correspondent Jeff Zeleny ran footage from the Democratic presidential candidate’s victory speech on Tuesday night that transformed Mrs. Clinton into a glowing figure. He hyped how Mrs. Clinton was “savoring a triumph in her long Democratic primary fight — exactly eight years after extinguishing her first trailblazing campaign.”
Zeleny touted the achievement for the former secretary of state.
Notice the golden glow around Her Highness?
And by comparison, here’s the un-manipulated footage:
They don’t call it the Clinton News Network for nothing…
Think we’ll ever see CNN make any bizarre attempt to deify a Republican? I doubt it. While Trump has raked in an enormous amount of media coverage, the overwhelming majority has focused on so-called controversies. According to the statistics in early April ” in the last 30 days, CNN has mentioned Trump approximately 25,000 times according to the GDELT Project using data from the Internet Archive’s Television News Archive. Clinton and Sanders? A relatively paltry 13,000 CNN mentions in comparison.”
Trump gets all the (negative) attention, while Hillary gets touched up. (Wait, is that sexist?)
