As the expert on “The Art of the Deal,” Donald Trump has pressed Hillary Clinton with two deals of his own this election. His first offer was after questions began to swirl surrounding Hillary’s health, which despite her dismissing them as unfounded, has required her response. Trump said he would release his medical records to the public if Hillary were to release hers. It goes without saying that we should have a right to know the health of those competing for the highest office in the land.
She hasn’t replied to Trump’s request, but has demanded he release his tax returns. Now Trump is willing to do that, but only if she makes a different release of her own.
As the Washington Examiner reports: Donald Trump is willing to make a deal with Hillary Clinton in order to get the former State secretary to release thousands of misplaced or emails. The Republican nominee told Fox News late Tuesday he would release his tax returns if his Democratic rival dropped thousands of likely deleted emails from her time in the State Department.
“She [Clinton] has 33,000 emails that she deleted. When is she going to release her emails? Let her release her emails and I will release my tax returns immediately,” Trump told host Bill O’Reilly. “With that said I released almost 100 pages of financials to the FEC and they are detailed. Fact is, you get very little information from the tax return, Bill.”
O’Reilly asked Trump if his running mate Mike Pence’s choice to air his finances had put pressure on him to follow suit.“Not at all,” Trump responded late Tuesday from a rally in Greenville, N.C. “Nobody cares about it except some of the folks in the media … so you understand I am under audit. Routine audit. When the audit is complete I will release my returns. I have no problem with it.” I suppose this means those Russian hackers who’ve launched a full out assault on the Democrat establishment weren’t quite as resourceful as we thought.
