Recently, we reported here about an effort by the Obama Justice Department to block a court decision for the Palestinian Authority (Fatah) to pay out millions of dollars to American families who lost loved ones due to Islamic terrorist actions. These terrorist attacks could be traced directly back to the PA. However – and I’m gonna use a word President Obama likes so much – in an “unprecedented” move, the Obama administration wants a reconsideration due to the financial stress this could bring on the Palestinian Authority (and as previously stated, Fatah is just a slicker version of an Islamic terrorist organization, kinda like the Muslim Brotherhood.) We’ve previously reported that it has been a long standing procedure for the families of Palestinian terrorists to receive financial support from the PA. But that is only part of the affront.
As reported by our friend, Itamar Marcus, at Palestinian Media Watch, “The Palestinian Authority has dedicated another city square to the memory of a terrorist murderer responsible for the deaths of civilians. The memorial in Nablus shown above is named after terrorist Naif Abu Sharakh who was involved in many terror attacks against Israelis, including a double suicide bombing in Tel Aviv on Jan. 5, 2003 in which 23 people were killed and dozens injured. He was Nablus’ commander of Fatah’s military wing, the terror organization Al-Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigades, and was killed by the Israeli army on June 26, 2004. Text on the monument: “Martyr leader, Naif Abu Sharakh, commander of the Al-Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigades, leader of the Martyrdom-seekers.”
Here’s the Fatah-run Awdah TV broadcast of a program honoring the murderer and showing the memorial.
And to give you a clear understanding of the folks with whom Israel is supposed to seek peace, here is how the Fatah TV host introduced the mother of the terrorist as follows: “Mother of Martyr Naif Abu Sharakh gave both her sons for the land and the homeland. Let’s meet her. We are very happy to meet you and very proud of you. A Palestinian mother such as yourself, whom we are proud of, you have given two of your sons for the homeland.”
Perhaps you remember the video we shared featuring the Arab mother who owed her son’s life to Israeli doctors — yet she confided that she would be proud of him to become a martyr, killing the very people who saved his life. And how is it that we dismiss this abhorrent behavior and continue with the victimization of those who use violence and death as a means to their ill conceived ends? How is Israel to enter into peace agreements with those who celebrate their death? And we in the Western world allow these insidious anti-Semites to promote policies like the boycott, divest, and sanctions (BDS) program?
Am I the only one who recognizes the irony of the liberal progressive left who wants to emplace sanctions against Israel, yet wish sanctions lifted from Iran? Can the liberal progressive left just be that stuck on stupid?Earlier this year, Palestinian Media Watch exposed that the PA built a similarly shaped monument in a square in Ramallah named after terrorist Dalal Mughrabi, whose bus hijacking killed 37 Israeli civilians.
As I often say, when tolerance becomes a one-way street, it leads to cultural suicide.
We continue to not just dismiss, but accept and reward the actions and behavior of Islamic jihadism, and hide behind the false narrative of warmongering as an excuse to allow the enemy a free pass. At some point we will have to “ante up” and find a spine. Sadly, I must say it will not happen if we continue to allow progressive socialists a position of power and influence in America — they do not embrace the policies of American strength and exceptionalism. Heck, Bernie Sanders and Martin O’Malley are even afraid of the “black lives matter” mob, and we expect them to be a Commander-in-Chief? Puhleeze, as the young folks say.
I believe it was former Israeli Prime Minister Golda Meier who stated, “We can forgive the Arabs for killing our children. We cannot forgive them for forcing us to kill their children. We will only have peace with the Arabs when they love their children more than they hate us.”
And that day doesn’t look like it’s coming anytime, soon based on the revelations and actions of the Arabs referring to themselves as Palestinians.
