We awoke this morning to the news of terrorist attacks on three separate continents, which killed dozens. 27 beachgoers in Tunis, Tunisia we gunned down by Islamic terrorists. A man in France was carjacked and beheaded — Islamic jihadist flags were placed with his decapitated body and his head hung from a fence. And reports from Kuwait tell us that at least eight people were injured at an explosion at a mosque — for which the Islamic State claimed responsibility.
Meanwhile, the left continues to push its manufactured false narratives to diminish the very tangible and present threat posed by Islamic jihadism. Just yesterday, The New York Times published a piece claiming “right-wing extremism” is more deadly than Islamic jihadism.
As printed in the The New York Times:
In the 14 years since Al Qaeda carried out attacks on New York and the Pentagon, extremists have regularly executed smaller lethal assaults in the United States, explaining their motives in online manifestoes or social media rants.
But the breakdown of extremist ideologies behind those attacks may come as a surprise. Since Sept. 11, 2001, nearly twice as many people have been killed by white supremacists, antigovernment fanatics and other non-Muslim extremists than by radical Muslims: 48 have been killed by extremists who are not Muslim, including the recent mass killing in Charleston, S.C., compared with 26 by self-proclaimed jihadists, according to a count by New America, a Washington research center.
The slaying of nine African-Americans in a Charleston church last week, with an avowed white supremacist charged with their murders, was a particularly savage case. But it is only the latest in a string of lethal attacks by people espousing racial hatred, hostility to government and theories such as those of the “sovereign citizen” movement, which denies the legitimacy of most statutory law. The assaults have taken the lives of police officers, members of racial or religious minorities and random civilians.
Non-Muslim extremists have carried out 19 such attacks since Sept. 11, according to the latest count, compiled by David Sterman, a New America program associate, and overseen by Peter Bergen, a terrorism expert. By comparison, seven lethal attacks by Islamic militants have taken place in the same period.Y’all knew it was coming because the liberal progressive socialists of the left just can’t help themselves. They’re more focused on destroying what they perceive as political enemies — not the real enemies, Islamo-fascists. I find it rather interesting that these chuckleheads made the calculated decision to exclude 9/11 and tailor their “count” to post 9/11 events — how convenient. Also, there’s no calculation of thwarted Islamic jihadist attacks — such as Najibullah Zazi and Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab “the underwear bomber.”
Perhaps we should conduct a true historical analysis of Islamic jihadism against the United States — not the cherry picking of this New America study. Heck, I suppose the objective here is a New America where non-leftists are castigated as terrorist threats — how convenient. What about illegal immigrant murders of Americans? Where do they fall into this count?
Look fellas, why did y’all not start where it began, with the Barbary Wars, where Islamic jihadists attacked Americans and American-flagged shipping. It’s unconscionable that this “study” didn’t take into account the horrible tragedy of the 1983 Beirut barracks bombing that killed some 234 Marines, sailors and soldiers. Don’t they count? And let me explain something: if the American flag flew, it was American territory. So did the count consider the Khobar Towers bombing and the U.S. Embassy bombings in Kenya and Tanzania? How about the bombing of the USS Cole? Nah, including all those would have been too inconvenient a truth for Scott Shane, David Sherman, Peter Bergen and the rest of the folks at New America.
See, for the liberal progressive left, if it doesn’t fit into their narrative and politically designed and manipulated agenda, it’s dismissed. So the New America leftists classify 48 murders in America as “right wing anti-government extremism” — I’m quite sure they really wanted to include Timothy McVeigh, their poster child — to advance their goal of silencing contrary political ideology. Sadly, the Founding Fathers would be considered radical extremists; after all, they believed in limited government, and all that Constitution stuff is just nonsense and extreme. Just a couple of days ago, I shared on Facebook how the left embraced Dzokhar Tsarnaev as a victim, with a cover shot on Rolling Stone. Just how many lives did he harm? Funny, he only killed four — but how many were maimed and mentally affected for the rest of their lives?
Those fellas at New America should be ashamed of themselves for discounting the many American men and women in uniform who’ve lost their lives and been maimed for life by Islamic jihadists. No, those don’t count — not even the American beheaded by ISIS counts — because their sacrifices don’t fit the delusional and sick agenda of these cowards. Yes, I said cowards — that’s what they are — and if God were to ever bless me so, I would say so to their faces.
Is the liberal progressive left so devoid of character and moral fortitude that they’d find a way to dismiss Islamic jihadism in order to follow their “rules for radicals” playbook? Do they manipulate the singular criminal action of a racist sociopath with a global campaign to destroy western civilization and America? What about the hatred displayed by Shabazz and Farrakhan — is that not extremism?
Here’s the evidence of the narrative the left seeks.
“Law enforcement agencies around the country have told us the threat from Muslim extremists is not as great as the threat from right-wing extremists,” said Dr. Kurzman, whose study is to be published by the Triangle Center on Terrorism and Homeland Security and the Police Executive Research Forum.
“There’s an acceptance now of the idea that the threat from jihadi terrorism in the United States has been overblown,” Dr. Horgan said. “And there’s a belief that the threat of right-wing, antigovernment violence has been underestimated.”
I’m no conspiracy theorist, but I can clearly see there’s a movement afoot by the left — leveraging the horrible shooting in Charleston. All I can do is warn you: do not go down this path, you’re overreaching. If your intent is to redefine “homegrown terror” to attack potential political dissent, be careful as you dismiss the real enemy and allow them safe passage.
In closing, let’s be very honest here, liberal progressives of the Democrat party. The original American terrorist group was the Ku Klux Klan and it was started by the Democrat party. And never forget that your beloved former President William Jefferson Clinton praised a former Grand Wizard of the Klan at his funeral — Senator Robert Byrd of West Virginia.
I am sick of these coward liberal progressive socialists who want to manufacture a conflagration with those who disagree with their political ideology. All the while, they are dismissing the real enemy of freedom and liberty, which has embarked upon a global movement of terror.
So New America, take your “count” and place it in your fourth point of contact.
