Trump was RIGHT…

This week, we’ve been told by LTG Sean MacFarland that our efforts against ISIS have resulted in 25,000 of them being killed. LTG MacFarland also stated that before the U.S. became engaged against ISIS, others — whom he did not name — had killed 20,000. Now, of course the good General admitted there was no way of confirming such laudable success.

However, it appears there has been an assessment of what the reticence in dealing with Islamic jihadists has meant — and this indeed can be confirmed.

When you see this data, you have to ask whether Donald Trump was right when suggesting President Obama founded ISIS.

As reported by the Washington Free Beacon, The terror group ISIS along with its predecessors and affiliates carried out over 4,900 attacks between 2002 and 2015, killing more than 33,000 people in assaults that stretched from the Middle East to western nations, according to a new study.

ISIS-related attacks comprised 13 percent of all terror attacks globally during the 13-year period, according to research released Tuesday from the National Consortium for the Study of Terrorism and Responses to Terrorism at the University of Maryland. In addition to killing tens of thousands of people worldwide, assaults by ISIS, also known as the Islamic State or ISIL, have caused 41,000 injuries and involved 11,000 hostage takings or kidnappings. ISIS and its affiliates caused one quarter of the deaths from terror attacks during the period.

While ISIS did not assume its current name until 2013, researchers evaluated the patterns of ISIS-related attacks beginning in 2002 by looking at assaults perpetrated by its predecessors. The study, which was funded by the Department of Homeland Security, also examined attacks carried out by ISIS militants in its so-called “caliphate” in Iraq and Syria, attacks by affiliated organizations such as the Khorasan Province in Afghanistan and Pakistan, and ISIS-inspired attacks.

The new research underlines how ISIS has inspired attacks abroad and expanded the lethality, frequency, and geographical scope of assaults since its emergence. The group began as a small terror network lead by Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, a militant Islamist from Jordan, and claimed its first kill in the death of American diplomat Laurence Foley in October 2002.

“Since then, the group … has undergone a complex evolution, including name changes, leadership changes, and shifts in allegiance to other Salafi-jihadist organizations, most notably al-Qaida,” the researchers wrote.

ISIS and its allies ramped up attacks between 2013 and 2015, after leader Abu Bakr al Baghdadi announced that the group would expand to Syria. Attacks increased twofold in 2014 over the previous year, with militants averaging 106 attacks per month. The same year, Obama referred to ISIS and other al Qaeda-linked groups in the Middle East as a “jayvee team” in an interview with the New Yorker. Months later, ISIS executed American journalist James Foley in a video recording dispersed over the internet.

Now, of course we know just how concerned Obama was over the beheading of James Foley — he went to play golf.

As a reminder, the predecessor to ISIS, al-Qaida in Iraq, had been defeated, decimated and was no longer an effective fighting force. Yes, it took a herculean effort and change in strategy, but in staying the course and unleashing our military might, we sent a message to Islamic jihadists.

Unfortunately, political campaign promises and intransigent ideology were more important to Barack Obama. Never did he travel to Iraq and make the case about the SOFA (status of forces agreement) that could’ve maintained a residual force. Obama decided he knew better than the General on the ground — a proven combat leader, General Lloyd Austin IV — and his recommendations. And I love it when the progressive socialist disciples of Obama chime in to argue, “he only did what Bush had set in motion” — once again, blame Bush.

One has to ask, is Barack Obama responsible for anything? Perhaps, based on this research, Donald Trump was correct: Obama is the founder of ISIS. Let’s give credit where credit is due: President George W. Bush trusted our fighting men and women. He put his confidence in them and not the naysaying politicos of Washington, D.C. — one of whom was Barack Obama.

Here we are today, closing in on the end of the era of weakness and acquiescence to Islamic jihadism. Obama will be remembered not for trusting our military to defeat the enemy, but rather for praising the enemy for putting our Sailors on their knees. Obama will be remembered for destabilizing an entire country, Libya, turning it over to Islamic jihadists — now a base of operations for ISIS. And in Libya, Obama did not place his trust, nor his support, with Americans engaged in combat with the enemy he enabled, founded; instead, he abandoned them. For that, he will be remembered.

It’s interesting to see these numbers from 2002-2015. One has to ask: what are the numbers for 2009-2015, and consider the research fact of a twofold increase in Islamic terrorist attacks beginning in 2014. ISIS has sought to quench their barbaric and savage thirst for the blood of free people and it’s indisputable that Barack Obama has acted as the bartender. And we must not forget that for the first four years it was Hillary Clinton who stood beside him as Secretary of State — does anyone truly believe there will be a difference in her as president? After all, Mrs. Clinton said we should empathize with our enemies — yes, more compassion, unity and love, mixed in with obfuscation, denial, and lies…as we have seen emanating from U.S. Central Command.

The dark specter of the global Islamic jihad is a clear and present danger. I’m so sorry the progressive socialists cannot handle this pressing truth, as they prefer a world — falsely created — of unicorns, rainbows and Skittles. That is not about doom; just ask the dead, wounded, and hostages. They will tell you what this is…
