In Obamaland, it makes perfect sense to have someone with no health care experience as Ebola Czar

In government when someone cannot perform to standard in their assigned duty, someone else is hired to do it for them. Such is the case with the current Ebola issue, which is causing a reactive Obama administration quite a bit of consternation. Incredibly, we have a Secretary of Health and Human Services, a Director of the Center for Disease Control (CDC), and a Secretary of Homeland Security — and now we have to create another new position — for what?

As reported by the Washington Times, “Responding to urgent calls from Congress and a fearful public, President Obama has tapped a former White House official to serve as his “Ebola czar.” Ron Klain, an attorney who worked for Vice Presidents Joe Biden and Al Gore, is president of Case Holdings, which handles business interests for former AOL CEO Steve Case, and general counsel at Revolution LLC, a tech-focused venture capital firm in Washington, according to the White House.”

“He will be the point-person in charge of responding to the deadly virus in the U.S., and will report directly to Homeland Security Adviser Lisa Monaco and National Security Adviser Susan Rice. Although Mr. Klain does not come from the public health sector, the White House said he possesses “strong management credentials, extensive federal government experience overseeing complex operations and good working relationships with leading members of Congress, as well as senior Obama administration officials, including the president.”

Ok, let me get this right, due to the failures of Dr. Frieden, the Director of the CDC, Obama has decided that we don’t need to bring in someone with health care experience but someone with “strong management credentials?” So, is this an admission that no one in the Obama administration is capable of managing this situation?

This guy doesn’t have a smidgen of experience in health crisis operations or domestic security issues – he’s just another “mouthpiece.” And why is it that Mr. Klain will be reporting to the dubious Obama National Security Advisor Susan Rice? It seems to me this is more about Obama messaging and spin control rather than solving the situation and presenting viable solutions and courses of action.

And oh by the way, Klain was one of the geniuses who recommended the government invest in Solyndra.

Due to the incompetence of Obama and his minions, American taxpayers now have to pay someone to step in and do a job while others just sit and watch. Has anyone heard from the Secretary of DHS, Jeh Johnson?

The Times reports “Obama had said late Thursday it “may make sense for us to have one person” coordinating the government’s response to the Ebola outbreak, after the Liberian national who brought the virus to America’s shores died and two nurses who treated him tested positive in the following days. The president said administration officials such as Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Director Dr. Thomas Frieden, Health and Human Services Secretary Sylvia Burwell and Ms. Monaco have other responsibilities and may benefit from having one person in charge of the government’s entire response.”

Excuse me, but what else does the head of the CDC, Dr. Frieden and the Secretary of HHS, Ms. Burwell, have that is more important than developing protocols and procedures to contain any further spread of Ebola in America?

So what are they being paid to do? Ms. Burwell is a cabinet member. This state of confusion in the Obama administration is why I stand by my assertion that US Northern Command (USNORTHCOM) would be best to handle the domestic command and control of this Ebola situation in America — they have organizational structure and a very specified task, purpose and direction.

Case in point that Klain’s selection is pure politics. “I’ve known Ron Klain for over twenty years. He is smart, aggressive, and levelheaded — exactly the qualities we need in a czar to steer our response to Ebola,” said Sen. Chuck Schumer, New York Democrat. “He is an excellent choice.” If Chuckie Schumer refers to anyone as an “excellent choice,” be concerned.

Ron Klain is nothing more than a progressive socialist – i.e. Democrat — insider who can be trusted to deliver the Obama talking points. His leash will be rather short and held by Obama’s most dedicated henchperson, Susan Rice. He possesses no expertise in this area other than he can just “talk better.” It’s typical of the Obama administration to fix a problem by bringing in someone else to talk about the problem — after all, the real problem to Obama is that the situation needs to be explained better to us — not resolved.

Just imagine, if Obama has just made one single command decision — institute a travel ban — Mr. Duncan would have never entered the United States. Perhaps that means Obama will soon appoint a “Presidential Czar” and just outsource his own position. We can only hope..
