Good Saturday to y’all, as some of you are reading this, I may be on the road heading north on US Highway 287 to Wichita Falls Texas to speak this evening and Sunday morning at Legacy Church of God. I met Pastor John Gardner and his wife on a flight. They told me about their sermon series “Courageous” and asked if I would visit them and speak — and I humbly accepted.
Now, speaking of “courageous,” college football season is just around the corner, and preseason rankings are appearing. My Tennessee Volunteers are preseason ranked in some polls at number 8. Admittedly, there is a part of me that wished they weren’t ranked because I feel they’d play with a little more edge, more courageously…and give their all for Tennessee.
Sadly however, there is a story emanating from my alma mater that isn’t not about courage, but cowardice and the most despicable behavior.
As reported by The Algemeiner, “A ring of anti-Israel students at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville (UTK) has created a “cesspool” of anti-semitism and racist behavior, a campus watchdog group revealed to The Algemeiner on Thursday. Canary Mission — a secretive group that monitors anti-American, anti-Israel and anti-semitic activities on college campuses — said it has uncovered a “disturbing trend” of extreme Jew-hatred and other forms of bigotry at UTK. This, it says, is being spread by members of the school’s branches of Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP) and the Muslim Students Association (MSA). “We know that SJP nationally has an anti-semitic agenda to remove Israel from the river to the sea,” a Canary Mission representative, speaking on condition of anonymity, told The Algemeiner.
“However, they usually attempt to clothe their hatred with a thin veil of human rights. In the case of the University of Tennessee, there is no veil, just raw bigotry.”The watchdog named six key individuals at UTK responsible for the dissemination and active promotion of anti-semitic and racist ideologies: Eyad Hijr, a 2016 graduate with ties to the MSA; Mohamed Ali, a sophomore and member of SJP, MSA and the anti-Israel Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) movement; Hesham Annamer, a sophomore affiliated with MSA; Stori Nuri, a junior who is the president of SJP, co-president of MSA and a supporter of BDS; Jordan Welsh, a BDS-supporter who recruits members to the UTK SJP’s Facebook page; and Afeef Youssef Kamah, a student connected to MSA.” When I read some of the social media posts from these miscreants I was appalled.
And the question that must be asked is why is it that conservative groups are horribly attacked and shunned on our colleges and universities and this type of abhorrent behavior is allowed to thrive? It appears free speech is determined by whether the progressive socialist leftists deem it acceptable.
I recently saw the antics at a campus in California that refused to allow one Ben Shapiro to speak, referring to him as fomenting hate speech. When you consider the social media posts of these individuals praising Adolf Hitler — well, you decide. What is happening on our college and university campuses? What has happened at my alma mater?
Where are those voices that ring out so loudly when it comes to a piece of U.S. history, the Confederate flag? And we shared with you yesterday how a complaint made it all the way to the U.S. EEOC referring to potentially categorizing the historic Revolutionary War era Gadsden flag as invoking racial harassment. All of this while we turn an blind eye towards real racist activities and hate speech.
The hypocrisy must end and we can no longer sit back and allow our campuses to become the breeding grounds of the next generation of radicals. Is there any wonder why progressive socialists like Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, and Bernie Sanders want free college tuition?
This is why I’m proud to be a featured speaker with the conservative group, Young America’s Foundation (YAF). Thanks to YAF, I’m sponsored onto college and university campuses — and it was such a deep and humble honor to return to the University of Tennessee last year to address the students there. I’m looking forward to returning.
I do want to bring attention to one of the anti-Semitic UTK hate groups named, one that operates on American campuses that should cause concern, which is the Muslim Student Association (MSA). If you read the Muslim Brotherhood’s 1991 Explanatory Memorandum written by Mohammed Akram, the final page lists the supporting organizations, influriny the MSA. The motto of the Muslim Brotherhood states, “Allah is our objective. The Prophet is our leader. The Qur’an is our law. Jihad is our way. Dying in the way of Allah is our highest hope. Allahu akbar!”
Just so you understand how dangerous this organization and its affiliates are, here are a few quotes:
– The Brotherhood’s goal is to turn the world into an Islamist empire. The Muslim Brotherhood, founded in Egypt in 1928, is a revolutionary fundamentalist movement to restore the caliphate and strict shariah (Islamist) law in Muslim lands and, ultimately, the world. Today, it has chapters in 80 countries.“It is in the nature of Islam to dominate, not to be dominated, to impose its law on all nations and to extend its power to the entire planet.” —Muslim Brotherhood founder Hassan al-Banna
– The Brotherhood wants America to fall. It tells followers to be “patient” because America “is heading towards its demise.” The U.S. is an infidel that “does not champion moral and human values and cannot lead humanity.” —Muslim Brotherhood Supreme Guide Muhammed Badi, Sept. 2010
– The Brotherhood calls for jihad against “the Muslim’s real enemies, not only Israel but also the United States. Waging jihad against both of these infidels is a commandment of Allah that cannot be disregarded.” —Muslim Brotherhood Supreme Guide Muhammed Badi, Sept. 2010
– Hamas is a “wing of the Muslim Brotherhood,” according to the Hamas Charter, Chapter 2. The Charter calls for the murder of Jews, the “obliteration” of Israel and its replacement with an Islamist theocracy.
– The Brotherhood supports Hezbollah’s war against the Jews. Brotherhood leader Mahdi Akef declared he was “prepared to send 10,000 jihad fighters immediately to fight at the side of Hezbollah” during Hezbollah’s war against Israel in 2006.
Several Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries have declared the Muslim Brotherhood a terrorist organization, along with the Council for American Islamic Relations (CAIR), a Hamas front group and an unindicted co-conspirator in the largest Islamic terrorism funding case in American history.
Now, this is what the MSA is associated with, so what part of stupid are we?
Here is an example of a special kind of stupid, “Responding to Canary Mission’s findings, UTK Hillel Director Deborah Oleshansky told The Algemeiner that antisemitic and racist activity is “obviously of concern and something we keep an eye on.”
According to Oleshanksy, Hillel and MSA share a “good relationship, but with SJP it’s different. The general Jewish community and general Muslim community have a very strong and positive relationship. Hillel has partnered with MSA, and we both work very hard together towards outreach between the two communities,” she said.”
Ms. Oleshansky, ma’am, may I respectfully inquire as to how you share a good relationship with an organization named in the Muslim Brotherhood’s strategic objective document, knowing the mission of the Muslim Brotherhood? I can personally attest to the vile and virulent nature of the MSA since I had a very nice run in with these Islamist chuckleheads when I spoke for YAF on the campus of Texas Christian University — they lobbied to have my speaking engagement cancelled — who the heck are they to deny my First Amendment right?
So here is the call to action folks. If you have a child or grandchild in college, or check your own alma mater, ascertain if that school has a MSA chapter on the campus. If so, send a letter and emails to the university president and chancellor and share with them the association of the MSA with the Muslim Brotherhood.
Send them the quotes above regarding the nature of the Muslim Brotherhood, and request an immediate inquiry into the chapter, its funding, and demand this organization be banned from American campuses.
After all, it was the MSA that led the charge to prevent the showing of the movie “American Sniper” on college campuses. And we sent kudos to University of Michigan Coach Jim Harbaugh who told the school president to basically “pound sand” and showed the movie to his team — hat tip Coach!
I love my alma mater, the University of Tennessee, and I will be making my annual trip back to the homecoming game, which is Veterans Day weekend. I want the Muslim Brotherhood named as a terrorist organization by the United States. I want the MSA gone from Rocky Top, and from all other American college and university campuses. And I realize that’s not going to happen with Islamist sympathizers such as Barack Obama or Hillary Clinton…nor Jill Stein or Gary Johnson either.
