While we’re totally focused on the heinous Islamic terrorist attack in Manchester that killed 22 and wounded scores, across the globe there is further evidence of growing Islamic jihadism.
As reported by Townhall.com, “Islamic State group-linked militants swept through a southern Philippine city, beheading a police chief, burning buildings, seizing a Catholic priest and his worshippers and raising the black flag of IS, authorities said Wednesday.
President Rodrigo Duterte, who had declared martial law across the southern third of the nation, warned he may expand it nationwide. At least 21 people have died in the fighting, officials said. As details of the attack in Marawi city emerged, fears mounted that the largest Roman Catholic nation in Asia could be falling into a growing list of countries grappling with the spread of influence from the Islamic State group in Syria and Iraq. “We are in a state of emergency,” Duterte said Wednesday after he cut short a trip to Moscow and flew back to Manila. “I have a serious problem in Mindanao and the ISIS footprints are everywhere.” He declared martial rule for 60 days in the entire Mindanao region — home to 22 million people — and vowed to be “harsh.”

As details of the attack in Marawi city emerged, fears mounted that the largest Roman Catholic nation in Asia could be falling into a growing list of countries grappling with the spread of influence from the Islamic State group in Syria and Iraq. The violence erupted Tuesday after the army raided the hideout of Isnilon Hapilon, a commander of the Abu Sayyaf militant group who has pledged allegiance to IS. He is on Washington’s list of most-wanted terrorists with a $5 million reward for information leading to his capture. The militants called for reinforcements and around 100 gunmen entered Marawi, a mostly Muslim city of 200,000 people on the southern island of Mindanao, Defense Secretary Delfin Lorenzana said.

Yes, the Islamic State has a presence in the Philippines, something we’ve shared here. And what’s more disturbing is that it was in the Philippines that our former president, Barack Obama, withdrew our Special Forces support against the Islamic jihad. And we wonder why President Duterte has terse words to describe Obama. Now wait for it, hold on, here it comes…yes, can you hear it, the progressive socialists telling us to “not rush to judgment.” Telling us not to offend Muslims, and even Katy Perry telling us we need love and to coexist…or former Attorney General Loretta Lynch telling us that compassion, unity, and love defeats Islamic terrorism –doggone, I just said the wrong thing…”evil losers.”Look, losers don’t feel so emboldened that they behead a police chief and seize a Catholic priest and his parishioners. Yesterday I shared my reflections on Manchester and asked a question, when will the Muslim community beg for our mercy and issue a global apology for what keeps happening? Many offered in their comments that it will NEVER happen…and I cannot disagree.
Why didn’t the people of the mostly Muslim city of Marawi, 200,000 strong, take up arms against the 100 Islamic jihadist gunmen who entered their city? Let me put it simply, the lack of resistance can only be determined as acceptance. As in Manchester, England, the acceptance of these Islamic jihadists, this sheltering, can only be determined as alliance and compliance. And sadly, there are those in western civilization whose insidious political correctness can only be defined as acquiescence.Remember the priest in Normandy, France who was beheaded by Islamic state jihadists? Of course you don’t, because we in the west with the fast food, drive by mentality and a corrupt liberal progressive media just move right on and dismiss this savage barbarism rooted in religious belief.
Yes, I said it, and it’s time we stop obfuscating and accept this enemy for who they are, and in what they believe. The Pope has certainly had a lot of words for President Trump; how vehemently and resolutely has the Pope spoken out about the incessant targeting and killing of Christians by Islamic jihadists? Lest we forget, it was Pope Urban II who in 1095 called for the first Crusade for the purpose of protecting Christian pilgrims in the Holy Land who were being attacked by Islamic jihadists…why?
At some point in time we must become committed as a world, and have leaders who will stop offering us rhetoric…and deliver action. Do not forget it was UK Prime Minister Theresa May who was the former UK Home Secretary and allowed the growth of homegrown Islamic terrorism, along with the open transit of Islamic jihadists out of the UK to fight for the Islamic State and return.
We must get serious about what’s happening, and come together not for a big kumbaya hug, but to crush this movement. The Philippines is one of our historic allies, another relationship that fell victim to Obama. We have a common enemy that should unite us, this clear and present danger, evil, Islamic jihadism.
In closing, ask yourself, how much of this is being covered by the liberal progressive media? Nah, they’re too busy with impeaching Trump because they have a conviction seeking evidence. Do you really want a return of liberal progressivism to a place of power in America?
And finally, President Trump, please declare the Muslim Brotherhood an Islamic terrorist organization.
