Recently we reported how the number two Democrat in the US House of Representatives, Rep. Steny Hoyer (D-Ma), views the responsibility of the President of the United States — as having the ability to implement laws based on his beliefs.
Now anyone who has taken a basic civics course knows it is the sworn duty of the president to faithfully execute the laws of the United States — not just the ones he likes or selectively enforce bits and pieces of others.
So if we have a president who doesn’t feel he must uphold the law, then what about the individual charged as our top law enforcement officer, the U.S. Attorney General? Take a wild guess.
Well, based on an interview Eric Holder conducted with Juan Williams for The Hill and reported by the Washington Examiner: Houston, we have a problem.
Remember when AG Holder very early on accused America of being a “nation of cowards” regarding race in this country? He offered this insight about his duty as Attorney General.“If you want to call me an activist attorney general, I will proudly accept that label. Any attorney general who is not an activist is not doing his or her job. The responsibility of the attorney general is to change things [and] bring us closer to the ideals expressed in our founding documents.” We already have a problem with a slew of activist judges in our court system and now we have an Attorney General who fully admits that justice is not blind — justice according to Holder is based on his vision. Remember when he declined to pursue the New Black Panther voter intimidation case? It seems that Holder, whom I voted to hold in contempt while serving in Congress, just validated my vote.
As the Examiner reports, “Holder’s remarks were made in reference to critics who question the Justice Department’s ongoing review of “policies [with] disproportionate impact on communities of color.”
I suppose that would explain why Holder brought a lawsuit against the State of Louisiana for its school choice program? Or maybe why he, in conjunction with Education Secretary Arne Duncan, announced they would legally prosecute any school district that did not allow illegal immigrant children to enroll – as we reported here — and now we have illegal immigrant children showing up for school this month!
The great thing about these progressive socialists is they tell you exactly who they are and what they think — with complete and abject disregard for the rule of law because it is their nature to they believe they are above reproach.
Here are Holder’s words: “There are still [racial] issues we as a society are working our way through, and the lack of desire to do that, I think, undermines the ability that I think is inherent in the American people to make progress. But it also does not prepare us for demographic changes, the likes of which this country has never seen…The justice system is part of the larger society and to the extent there are racial issues we are still grappling with, it is not a shock that you are going to see them in the justice system. … [There is] a whole range of ways the justice system, if it is run properly, can make this country the country it wants to be.”
So, I interpret Holder’s statement as a belief that the US Department of Justice exists to enable a system of legalized social justice — as perceived by the progressive socialist ideological agenda. And in doing so, Holder feels it is his duty to redo the laws of this Republic to suit that purpose — and as he says, “prepare us for demographic changes.”
Ladies and gents, what have we done in America? What have we allowed to take root? People call me the extremist, but Holder is an extremist who can determine the applicability of the law. As Attorney General he would not appoint an independent investigator for the IRS scandal and lied about his involvement in Operation Fast and Furious — which resulted in the death of a U.S. border patrol But he found time to send an investigative team to Nebraska to look into a parade float.
The rule of law in America is under attack from this administration. What if a Republican attorney general had stated these words? The difference is simple; constitutional conservatives stand for the rule of law and justice. Progressive socialists don’t even believe American is a sovereign nation, let along a nation of laws. They believe they are the ambassadors of change — a change inconsistent with our fundamental principles and values. They wholeheartedly embrace fundamental transformation.
And the best way to bring that about is with a progressive socialist in the White House and one heading up the Department of Justice. This should be one of the top stories in the news media cycle — oops, forgot, they embrace progressive socialism’s perversion of The Law as well.
And as for critics who say the Justice Department is now run by activists, Holder says “I’d say I agree with you 1,000 percent and [I am] proud of it.”
