HILARIOUS! Look what Debbie is now FORCED to do for her Party

I just felt the need to share a story with y’all that’ll just make your head spin. Ok, it seems every story we’re sharing these days will get your head spinning, but this one is special because it involves someone with whom I had a very intense relationship (uh…sort of).

As reported by the Washington Times, “Already struggling with finances, the Democratic Party has drafted a plan to have taxpayers help pay about $20 million for next summer’s nominating convention, reversing a change Congress approved just a year ago.

Democratic National Committee Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz, who is also a congresswoman from Florida, has drafted a bill to restore money that both parties used to receive from the federal government to help defray the costs of running their quadrennial conventions.

The Congressional Budget Office revealed the move in a letter released Friday, which said Ms. Wasserman Schultz’s proposal to tap a presidential campaign fund would likely mean each party could get about $20 million in taxpayer money to help with costs.

The DNC is facing tough financial circumstances. The latest report shows it had just $4.7 million in cash on hand as of Oct. 31, less than the $6.9 million in debts the committee reported. By contrast, the Republican National Committee reported $20.4 million in cash, offset by $1.9 million in debts. Neither the DNC nor Ms. Wasserman Schultz’s congressional office returned messages seeking comment on her plans. Republican National Committee spokeswoman Allison Moore said the party doesn’t need the help.”

Now ain’t that a daisy? Typical of progressive socialists to want U.S. taxpayers to bail them out. I told you this would make your head spin. Needless to say, you probably won’t be hearing about this on ABC, CBS, CNN, NBC, MSNBC, or PBS — certainly not Al Jazeera, which has five folks watching it.

Now, if this were the RNC that bad off financially and scrounging taxpayer funding for its convention next year in Cleveland, well, it would be front page on the New York Times.

And where is Uncle George Soros? How about Tom Steyer and Warren Buffett? And lil’ ol’ daddy Mark Zuckerberg could help out the DNC and just write them a check. Shoot, Michael Moore, Steven Spielberg, and George Clooney could throw a fundraiser and square Debbie Wassermen-Schultz away like that. Or how about Jon Bon Jovi and Bruce Springsteen do a concert and call it “Jackass Aid?” I’m quite sure it would raise the requisite $20 million in cold cash — hey, what happened to former Democrat Congressman from New Orleans “Cold Cash” Jefferson? And what happened to all those fundraisers President Obama was doing? What kind of fiscal responsibility is happening at the DNC? Does this not provide a crystal clear indicator about how the Democrat economic philosophy works? Is there any wonder why America, under President Obama, has gone from $10.67 trillion in debt to nearly $18.4 trillion?

I suppose the DNC could turn to the Clintons for a loan — but then again, the Clintons were dead broke when they departed the White House, so they’re probably still struggling to make ends meet. So with all this talk about the strength of the Democrat Party, how can it be they’re in such financial dire straits?

“It was only last year when lawmakers nixed money for the conventions, deciding the political parties and their presidential nominees — who each raised $1 billion in 2012 — didn’t need help from taxpayers anymore. Congress instead called for the money to be used to finance research on children’s diseases at the National Institutes of Health.

Republicans appear to have done better under the new rules than the DNC, which has a troubled financial picture. It has raised $51.2 million this year through Oct. 31 but spent $53.4 million — a bad balance in the year before major elections. The RNC has raised $89.3 million and spent $74 million. It has stockpiled $20.4 million in cash.”

Could it be that DNC Chairman Debbie Wasserman-Schultz wants to take funding away from research on children’s diseases to cover for her financial failures? Again, can you just imagine if this was the RNC wanting to take funding from children’s disease research to pay for their convention?

Ok, let’s all help the DNC out here. How ‘bout we send Chairman Wasserman-Schultz our ideas about how they can raise money for their 2016 convention. That would certainly be the right thing to do, to share ideas rooted in conservative principles to assist the Democrats in raising funds.

“The CBO said Ms. Wasserman Schultz’s legislation would tap into the Presidential Election Campaign Fund — the money taxpayers can earmark on their annual filing forms to help defray the costs of presidential campaigns — and make it available to political conventions.”

Remember it was Barack Obama who declined to accept the public campaign financing — if it wasn’t good enough then, well, I see no reason the Democrats should get it now.
