Obama’s latest plan MUST be stopped. He’s making his move NOW…

They say lightning never strikes twice and I believe the now late baseball Hall of Famer Yogi Berra coined the phrase, “It’s deja vu all over again.”

Well, that’s how some folks are feeling about President Obama heading over to Paris for the climate change kumbaya fest. It sure looks like, just as with the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), Iranian nuclear deal, Obama will seek out a means to sidestep the U.S. Congress. Now of course, in the case of the Iranian nuclear deal, Chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, Senator Corker (R-Tenn) helped POTUS out big time. Obama was then easily able to leverage the Senate Democrats to block the “resolution of disapproval” from even coming to the Senate floor.

However, as reported by Fox News, “Capitol Hill Republicans are aiming to take the air out of President Obama’s push for a global climate deal at next week’s international summit in Paris, warning they will block vital funding if he tries to circumvent Congress.

Obama and other world leaders are charging ahead with the two-week U.N. conference starting Monday, under heightened security in the wake of the Paris terror attacks.

But at home, the country and the Congress remain deeply divided over the president’s plans for cutting emissions – and lawmakers are worried he will etch an international pact without seeking Senate approval. Looking for leverage, critics of the president’s climate agenda have zeroed in on the president’s goal of directing $3 billion – including $500 million in the near-term – for the U.N. Green Climate Fund, which would help developing nations deal with climate change.

I hate to admit this, but I have little faith that Capitol Hill Republicans will do anything to thwart Obama. After all, they were supposed to cut funding for the illegal executive order issued by Obama on illegal immigration. How’d that work out?

But let me present a very simple inquiry. How is it that President Obama wants to cut 40,000 active duty troops from our Army but will give $3 billion to the U.N. Green Climate Fund? And $500 million in the near term, well, that’s just dandy, and no different from $550 million taxpayer dollars that go to a private sector not-for-profit organization that runs a $1 billion annual profit called Planned Parenthood.

Just yesterday, Oklahoma GOP Senator James Lankford continued the tradition of former Oklahoma GOP Senator Tom Coburn and released the government “waste book” on spending. I have a couple of recommendations for that list: U.N. Green Climate Fund and Planned Parenthood.

But back to the case at hand, President Obama doesn’t have the “executive privilege” to go about willy-nilly and give our taxpayer dollars to his progressive socialist ideological agenda. Again, I know the liberal progressive apostles of the religion of climate change will go apoplectic if anyone dissents. I know the disparaging name-calling such as Neanderthal or flat earth society member will flow freely from the mouths of the disciples of Thulsa Doom.

If y’all want to fund this folly, then go to Uncle George Soros or Tom Steyer, both mega billionaires, and they can write a nice check to the U.N. Green Climate Fund. President Obama has taken us from $10.67 trillion in debt to nearly $18.4 trillion in debt with all estimates that we will be at $20 trillion at the time of his departure. We don’t need to borrow or print money to siphon over to the corrupt organization of despots, dictators, autocrats, and theocrats that make up the United Nations.

We must demand that the GOP majority on Capitol Hill does not surrender yet again and enable Obama to have his way with the hard-earned resources of the American taxpayer. Climate change is not a priority issue for the American people. Fighting Islamic terror and ending the impact of Obama’s economic weapons of mass destruction — taxes, regulation, and spending — are.

And we must force the GOP to find their “big boy” pants and not allow another end run around the American people. If Obama wants an agreement with the U.N. it must be regarded as a treaty that will be voted on by the elected representatives of the American people. Like that song by The Who goes, “We won’t be fooled again.”

“Without Senate approval, there will be no money – period,” Sen. John Barrasso, R-Wyo., said at a hearing last week, stressing that any agreement with legally binding requirements must come before the Senate for a vote. He and Sen. Jim Inhofe, R-Okla., chairman of the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee, sent a letter to Obama signed by more than three-dozen senators likewise urging the president to have his special envoy relay to developing nations’ representatives that Congress “will not be forthcoming” with the Green Climate Fund money absent a Senate vote.

In addition, Inhofe joined Democratic Sen. Joe Manchin of West Virginia and Republican Sen. Roy Blunt of Missouri in introducing a resolution calling for the Senate to have a say in any climate agreement. Republicans generally argue that any deal with legally binding elements should be handled like a treaty, and subject to Senate ratification. The Obama administration, though, has given varying statements on how it views any potential pact.”

Like Yogi Berra said, “it’s deja vu all over again,” and we’re not going to sit back and listen to words and empty rhetorical threats.

Let’s send a message to the White House and to Capitol Hill: not a single dime of American taxpayer dollars to the U.N. Green Climate Fund. Call your Senators and Representatives and tell them HELL no.
