It tells you something when progressive socialists attack those who warn of ISIS infiltration into America as fear mongering. Take a moment to watch this video interview with Rep. Jason Chaffetz (R-Utah) with Fox News Megyn Kelly. Those of us in the know have been aware for some time that the U.S. Border Patrol has been documenting what it terms OTMs (Other Than Mexicans), individuals not of Hispanic origin who are being detained crossing, or are successful in crossing our border.
The Secretary of Homeland Security, Jeh Johnson, doesn’t impart much confidence to the viewer that he’s competent in executing his duties – but then again, his primary job qualification for appointment was being a top Obama donor.
So, if the progressive Left doesn’t want to trust their lying eyes, perhaps there are others who can provide them validity and seriousness in this situation.
According to Fox News — and folks, trust me, I scour Leftist media outlets for lots of information and on occasion I see reports — “The union representing America’s immigration caseworkers warned Thursday of the “real and serious threat” that Islamic State terrorists could gain entry to the United States, either by slipping through the southern U.S. border or exploiting “loose and lax” visa policies. Kenneth Palinkas, president of the National Citizenship and Immigration Services Council, issued the warning in a written statement. He’s the latest to raise alarm that the Islamic State may be planning to infiltrate the U.S., though top security officials have said they see no evidence of such a plot at this stage. Palinkas specifically alleged the administration has made it easier for terrorists to “exploit” the country’s visa policies and enter the homeland. ”So maybe the union buddies will convince America that the Obama administration isn’t serious about securing our border — regardless of what Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid said about our southern border never being more secure. Perhaps we can outsource our border security to some Syrian Islamist rebels as well. Certainly they’d appreciate an American taxpayer-funded trip to our vast Southwest.
Fox says, “Palinkas further warned that executive orders being contemplated by President Obama would “legalize visa overstays” and raise “the threat level to America even higher.” He said there is “no doubt” many are already being “targeted for radicalization.” Palinkas’ union represents 12,000 workers with U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, which handles immigration documents.
Fox also says, “on Wednesday, Rep. Jason Chaffetz, R-Utah, said at a House hearing with Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson that he had “reason to believe” that four individuals were apprehended trying to cross into the U.S. from Texas on Sept. 10, and that they “have ties to known terrorist organizations in the Middle East.” Johnson said he had “heard reports to that effect” but could not speak to their accuracy.”
However, as dismissive as the Obama administration has been about the threat along our very porous southern border, in August, the Texas Department of Public Safety put out a bulletin that said ISIS social media messages showed “militants are expressing an increased interest in the notion that they could clandestinely infiltrate the southwest border of the U.S., for terror attack.”
So whom shall America believe? The president, who defiantly tells us that ISIS is not Islamic, or the enemy who clearly tells us their intent? You can keep your doctor, al-Qaida is decimated and on the run, we have ended the Iraq war — the list of deception just grows.
But this little game of lies has severe consequences for our America. This enemy knows it has almost 27 months to freely operate and position itself to attack America. They have already evidenced their brutality in beheading two American citizens and our response has been to blow up some trucks and ask fellow Islamic terrorists to handle the situation for us. The recently foiled plot in Australia should serve to alert us to the most dangerous course of action this enemy is willing to take.
And we still have those who believe that if we fight back, we only make them hate us more and increase their recruitment. Message to the “coexist” crowd: when someone beheads your citizens — they hate you plenty.
