Days before election, TRAGEDY confirms why Hillary must NEVER be Commander in Chief…

President Barack Obama declared combat operations over in Afghanistan — fascinating, as the enemy obviously didn’t get the memo. They keep fighting; sadly, our troops keep on dying. Recently, we had another instance of “green on blue,” where someone dressed in an Afghan army uniform turned his weapon on U.S. troops at an ammunition depot. An American soldier, whose Commander I personally know, and an American civilian contractor, were killed. The famed Prussian military strategist Carl von Clausewitz stated, “war is the imposition of one’s will upon another.” We have been “monkeying” around with Islamic terrorism since 2001, and we have yet to deal it the blow of defeat. And without a clear strategy — and will — for victory, our young men and women continue to be placed in harm’s way, and lose their lives.

As reported by Fox News, Two U.S. service members were killed Thursday during a joint raid by U.S. special operations forces and Afghan troops targeting senior Taliban commanders — rare combat deaths for Western forces who handed over the task of securing Afghanistan to local troops some two years ago.

Defense Secretary Ash Carter said he was “deeply saddened” to learn of the American deaths, adding that four U.S. service members suffered injuries. More than 30 Afghan civilians were killed in the fighting as well, according to local reports.

The American service members “came under fire” alongside Afghan troops while attempting to “clear a Taliban position” in Kunduz province, military officials said.

U.S. airstrikes were called in during the firefight but Afghan forces were leading the assault, Fox News has learned.

At least five Americans have been killed in action in Afghanistan since early October.

“Today’s loss is heartbreaking and we offer our deepest condolences to the families and friends of our service members who lost their lives today,” Gen. John W. Nicholson, commander of U.S. Forces-Afghanistan, said in a statement.

A U.S. defense official told Fox News that the incident occurred last night local time, but declined to give any more details.

The target of the raid appeared to be two senior Taliban commanders killed in the fighting among 65 insurgents, Kunduz police chief Gen. Qasim Jangalbagh said. He said Afghan special forces carried out the raid and that he did not have any information about NATO involvement in the assault.

U.S. officials did not immediately identify the service members who died. The Pentagon reported it would investigate some Afghans’ accusations the U.S. military killed innocent people in the airstrikes.

Our heartfelt sympathies and condolences to the families who will get that notification no one wishes to receive. We’re saddened that there will be an empty chair at the Thanksgiving table, and gifts missing under the Christmas tree. It just doesn’t have to be so; we must strike the enemy with overwhelming combat power, precisely employed. We don’t need “PlayStation” video game generals sitting back in Washington, D.C. second guessing and directing operations in a combat zone because of politics. We need to provide our troops on the ground the exact weapon systems and numbers they need to crush the enemy. Yet again, we’re forced to realize this is not about advising and training, our special operators are engaged…they are fighting.

So the great Obama, winner of the 2009 Nobel Peace Participation Trophy was, in his own mind, elected to “end wars.” Mr. President, there are two ways to end a combat engagement: you win or you lose. Telling everyone you’re quitting may sound admirable to the likes of progressive socialists such as yourself — but, in essence, it’s deemed as cowardice. When you walk away from the battlefield with an enemy still occupying ground, you lost. And when you try to reinsert our troops into the same combat environment with nebulous guidance and objectives, combined with dangerous and insidious rules of engagement, you make our men and women targets, not Warriors.

Here is — tragically so — another example of the failure of one Barack Obama, who’s running around the Country, on the taxpayer dime, ranting about electing the most corrupt, criminal and deceitful presidential candidate this Nation has ever seen. And coming on the heels of Obama, that’s saying a lot. See, Barack Obama is not back in the White House tending to the issues facing this Nation…you know, anemic job and economic growth, rising jobless claims, rising healthcare insurance premiums, and a conundrum of foreign failures — mainly centered on the Middle East and abject resurgence of Islamic terrorism. Instead of Obama shouting at young voters in Florida about reality TV shows and begging them to vote, he should be focused on securing a better future for them. Not the case.

Just ask yourself as you head to the polls, what Mother, Father, Wife, Husband, Brother, Sister, or child would want their loved one serving in our military under a Commander in Chief Hillary Clinton…bad enough with the current one who’s decimated our military capability and capacity. Obama has made us weaker and less respected. How many more of our brave Warriors need to unnecessarily lose their lives because we could not make a decision for strong leadership?

It’s very simple, when you have the enemy on the run, you press harder. As we used to say in the Army I was in, why do you kick a man when he is down…because he is closer to your foot. When we had Islamic terrorists down, we picked them up and Obama said, sorry. I don’t want a fair fight with these savage barbarians who have no respect for life. They need to be crushed. And that’s not bravado, it’s the only quality they regard –strength — and the will to impose it by might.

Is that mean? Nope, it’s what war is and always has been about. It is hell, it is about fighting, and fighting is about killing. Civilian casualties do not happen if this enemy did not seek to find sanctuary within the population. So stop the blame game on our troops engaged.

We have to grow doggone tired of our Spartans being killed…along with innocent civilians who are living in fear of these monsters.
