Cultural jihad: Jimmy Carter to keynote Detroit Muslim convention

On Sunday we posted a message from the Chaldean Archbishop of Mosul who warns us in the West about the danger we are inviting into our countries. Of course we’ve shared on several occasions the Muslim Brotherhood’s Explanatory Memorandum including their strategic goal for North America. As you may recall, it was written in 1991 by Mohammed Akhram and discovered during an FBI raid in a northern Virginia home in 2004. That document laid out a planned “cultural jihad” to undermine the United States by its own hand. If you haven’t yet reviewed, it I hope you’ll download it here.

Because here we are exactly where political correctness and “useful idiots,” referred to in Islam as dhimmis, are allowing the achievement of these very goals.

Recently we brought to your attention the editorial co-written by former U.S. President Jimmy Carter, which called for the West to legitimize Hamas and its demands. Jimmy is doubling down again on the side of Islam.

This former U.S. president will now deliver the keynote address at the 51st Islamic Society of North America (ISNA) conference in Detroit, Michigan from August 29th to September 1st. As reported by the Toledo Blade, the convention for the nation’s largest Muslim group will feature former President Jimmy Carter as the keynote speaker. President Carter will talk on the subject of his latest book, A Call to Action: Women, Religion, Violence, and Power, at a luncheon Aug. 30.”

Just yesterday we featured a video from Amani Mustafa, an Egyptian convert from Islam to Christianity — she certainly addressed the topic of women, Islam, violence, and power, and why she as a woman had to escape Islam because of its violent power. I have to wonder if President Carter will take the same approach. Or perhaps President Carter should just show the film “Honor Diaries” and sit down — methinks that’s not gonna happen.

“That night, at a session called “Generations Rise: Elevating Muslim-American Culture” — the same title as the entire conference theme — the outgoing president of ISNA, Imam Mohamed Magid, and four other Muslim speakers will offer ideas for Muslim-American advancement over the next five years. A “secret special guest” is also on the bill.”

ISNA is not without its own controversies as we’ve covered here, along with the words of its leader Imam Mohamed Magid.

The Toledo Blade reports that the convention‘s opening session Friday will include comments from Michigan Gov. Rick Snyder and Bishop Elizabeth Eaton, the national leader of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. U.S. Rep. Keith Ellison (D-Minn.), the first Muslim member of Congress, will also be speaking Saturday.

There will be many other sessions over the four days, including workshops on a variety of topics including religion with both Muslim and interfaith approaches, education, and culture, an Islamic Film Festival and a competition for those who recite the Qur‘an – I wonder which verses will be recited? Will it just be those earlier peaceful verses, later abrogated through the concept of naskh?

I tend to believe that at this critical time, when an American was just beheaded by an Islamic terrorist army, ISIS; at a time when there is a deliberate genocide of Christians and other religious minorities; in light of the recent execution of Muslims in Gaza by Hamas, an Islamic terrorist organization, the theme of this conference would be quite different.

I might suggest “Reforming Islam for the 21st Century and Taking a Stand Against Violent Jihadism.” Instead of having Islamic-compliant talking heads, why not those who are sounding the clarion call — while being denigrated as “Islamophobes?” We just reported on Ali Muhammad Brown who went on a personal jihad resulting in the death of four Americans – will this ISNA conference try to address this situation?

This is no different than the NAACP holding conferences and not addressing the deplorable conditions of the black community — but instead blathering away on progressive socialist Democrat party talking points.

The theme of this conference is “Generations Rise: Elevating Muslim-American Culture” — and how are these generations supposed to rise? Is it what we’re witnessing in Britain, where more Brits are signing up for ISIS than for the British Army Reserves?

And to have a former president, a sitting U.S. governor and a U.S. congressman in attendance for this conference… if they only speak of appeasement and give flowery speech without addressing prevalent issues, then yes, they are exacerbating the issue.

This nation was built on religious tolerance, but it seems that tolerance is only a one-way street with these folks, and that leads to cultural suicide. If we have key political figures there to only validate abhorrent behavior and castigate those challenging Islam with fact and truth, then this is a big waste.

Let me close by sharing once again the forewarning from Chaldean Archbisop of Mosul Amel Nona:

“Our sufferings today are a prelude to what even European and Western Christians will incur in the near future. Your liberal and democratic principles here [in the Middle East] are not worth anything. You need to rethink our reality in the Middle East because you are receiving in your countries, an increasing number of Muslims. You too are at risk. You have to take strong and courageous decisions, at the cost of contradicting your principles. You think that men are all the same. It is not true. Islam does not say that all men are equal. Your values are not their values. If you do not understand in time, you will become victims of the enemy that you welcomed into your home.”
