Do only black liberal lives matter? I despise this hypocrisy.

Today’s popular slogan seems to be “black lives matter” but as the president of Smith College in Massachusetts stated, “all lives matter” — of course she was viciously attacked by the students of her college and ended up apologizing to them. This is yet another instance of the growing sense of mobocracy in America.

So is it that only black lives matter? Or has someone on the left cleverly nabbed this sound bite for political advantage, because the young black lives in Chicago and many inner cities have NEVER mattered.

Or what about the unborn black lives do they matter? Certainly Margaret Sanger didn’t think so and that sentiment has resulted in the horrific abortions of millions of black unborn babies — politically they don’t matter.

Has anyone stopped to consider if the lives of law enforcement officers matter?

I haven’t heard much to do about the kidnapping and murder of Virginia Reserve Police Officer Captain Kevin Quick by four black gang members. Any protesting, looting, burning, or how about condemnation by Sharpton and Jackson?

Then I came across a widely circulated email and viral internet post about a number of stories that seem to have dropped off the radar of the mainstream media, and conveniently ignored by the Department of Justice.

“Does anyone remember Detective Melvin Santiago? He was a Jersey City police officer who was shot to death on July 13, 2014. Santiago was white. His killer, Lawrence Campbell, was black. Does anyone recall Obama appearing before national television and calling for justice for Officer Santiago’s family?”

“Take the case of Officer Jeffrey Westerfield. He was a Gary, Indiana police officer who was shot to death on July 6, 2014. Officer Westerfield was white, his killer, Carl LeEllis Blount, Jr. was black.”

Anyone recall a statement from President Obama? Did Eric Holder fly over and visit with the family?”

“Officer Perry Renn was an Indianapolis, Indiana police officer who was shot to death July 5, 2014. Officer Renn was white. His killer, Major Davis, was black. And how many White House envoys attended Officer Renn’s funeral?”

“Over in Vermilion Parish, Louisiana, Deputy Sheriff Allen Bares was gunned down by two men June 23, 2014. Deputy Bares was white. His two killers, Quintylan Richard and Baylon Taylor were black.”

Was President Obama outraged or could Deputy Sheriff Bares have looked like a relative? Did Eric Holder rush to Louisiana to make sure that the family of Deputy Bares found justice — nah, he was too busy suing Louisiana over their school voucher program.

My last duty station was Ft. Hood, Texas so I know this next area very well.

“Detective Charles Dinwiddie of the Killeen, Texas Police Department was murdered on May 11, 2014 by Marvin Lewis Guy, a black male. Officer Dinwiddie was white. Was there any major coverage on the national news? Certainly, the white citizens of Killeen could have taken to the streets to loot and burn businesses.” But they did not.

Lastly, back in my home state of Georgia, there’s the story of Officer Kevin Jordan of the Griffin, Georgia Police Department. I remember going to the old Textile Bowl Classic between Clark College and Ft. Valley State College with my mom — a Ft. Valley graduate. Well, Officer Jordan was gunned down on May 31, 2014. Officer Jordan was a black man, while his killer, Michael Bowman was white. But I bet you never heard about that story either.

These brave men and women who safeguard our streets and security are part of a thin blue line — it sees no color. But why was there no major uproar about Officer Jordan being shot? He was black after all? Well, perhaps to some he was playing for the wrong team and there was no “political” gain so no Sharpton and Jackson…and no Eric Holder, the nation’s top law enforcement officer, who is black.

In all these cases, did Eric Holder even send a letter of condolence?

All lives matter, and the lives that truly do matter are those lost in defending and securing our freedoms and liberties — our deployed warriors and the law enforcement officers deployed on our streets, daily!

I post this missive because I despise hypocrisy.
