At a time when Barack Hussein Obama has been labeled the worst president since World War II in a Quinnipiac Poll of mostly Democrats, there is still one group with deep, abiding love for him.
As Marine Corps Private Gomer Pyle would say, “surprise, surprise, surprise” — or maybe it’s no surprise at all.
According to Politico, “Muslim-American leaders said Friday that a new poll showing the community’s sky-high approval rating of President Barack Obama stems partly from its disdain for the Republican party. “I think [Muslim-Americans] see the president sympathetically, but they also see his opponents to be, for lack of a better term, just damn awful,” said James Zogby, the president of the Arab American Institute. “The way Republicans have handled the Muslim community…what they feel is outright bigotry. It makes them see the president in a sympathetic light.”
I gladly accept “just damn awful” if that means leaders with Muslim Brotherhood-associated groups like CAIR, ISNA, MAS, and MPAC don’t like the truth being told. Bigotry? Nah, it’s just that some of us won’t allow subversives to blow sunshine up our butts. And please, I’ve been deployed into combat zones to enable Muslims to have a taste of liberty and freedom, so this is the wrong tree to be barking up.
However, I’m quite sure many Germans had a more favorable opinion of Neville Chamberlain than they did of Winston Churchill – but that’s a different story.
Politico says, “according to a Gallup poll, 72 percent of Muslim-Americans said they approve of the president – the highest rating among any religious group in the U.S. “Muslims, in our data for one thing, skew very young,” Gallup Editor-in-Chief Frank Newport said in an interview when asked to explain the findings. “The Muslims in our sample are the youngest among any of those religious groups and young people are more likely to be Democratic…and in our sample they likely live in the East and that’s the most Democratic region in the country.”“Haris Tarin, the director of the DC office for the Muslim Public Affairs Council, also attributed the poll numbers to what he called “the trauma of a post-9/11 Bush presidency” and said most Muslim-Americans continue to feel left out of the Republican conversation.”
“There’s a backlash in terms of the rhetoric that comes out of the Republican party,” Tarin said. “The president and the Democratic Party, in terms of their rhetoric, are more inclusive, the conversations are more inclusive of all Americans and you don’t see that as much within the Republican Party.”I read that to mean, there are those pesky conservatives who are focused on national security who actually pay attention to what we are doing and challenge us — and the Democrats and President Obama don’t.
And this is from the unindicted co-conspirator in the largest terrorist funding trial in U.S. history: “I think [Muslim-Americans] see a lot of potential in the president and perhaps give him a pass sometimes because they figure he’s under such attack constantly that he doesn’t always have the ability to carry out or implement the policies he would like to,” said Ibrahim Hooper, the national communications director for the Council of American-Islam Relations.
Ha! Are you kidding me? What more do you think he wants to carry out? Mr. Hooper, have you looked at what’s happening at the southern borders lately?
And in case you’ve forgotten, it was the very compassionate organization CAIR that forced Brandeis University to cancel its invitation to Ayaan Hirsi Ali — and sent out celebratory fundraising emails afterwards. Yep, that’s the kinda organization from whom I want a 72 percent approval rating.
However Tarin had a very curious perspective on the poll results, saying, “Another factor explaining the Gallup poll is that 25 percent to 35 percent of the Muslim population in the U.S. is African-American, a group that has a higher-than-average approval of Obama.
“There’s an identity factor in the sense that he’s African-American, born of an immigrant father and these are issues that [Muslim-Americans] can identify with,” Zogby said.
Now, if anyone else would refer to Obama’s Kenyan or Muslim background they would be pilloried as racist.
Actually I think the results are very easy to explain. Openly embracing the Muslim Brotherhood, supporting Islamist militia forces in Libya and elsewhere, and welcoming subversive Islamic “leaders” into the White House and his administration is the reason behind all this.
I will side for American security and continue to call it as it is. As I have said many times, when tolerance becomes a one way street, it leads to cultural suicide. I am more than honored to be on CAIR’s top ten most hated list. It’s far better than a 72 percent approval rating from those who have pledged allegiance not to America.
